Oilers vs. Ducks in about an hour.

The Ducks will probably stick with Giguere. He'll be a bit better tonight than game 4 I think, now that he's shaken off the rust. Having said that, I do think that the series will end tonight. I'm expecting a good game from Hemsky, he showed some brilliance in game 4.

GO OILERS!

Oilers are the Western Conference champs, and move on to the finals, after defeating the Ducks, 4-1
Exciting finish to Game 5, included Oilers holding off a 6-on-3 during some of that time
First ever #8 seed in the finals under the current playoff format

Be Cool!

Woot!!!

Edmonton finishes off the Ducks on a penalty kill, how appropriate. They played great tonight. After the first was over, I felt like this was Edmonton's to lose. They slowed the game right down, frustrated the Duck's offence and got a couple goals, just like they've been able to do on the road so well these playoffs. It was an intense last few minutes but... OILERS ALL THE WAY BABY!!!

I hope they win

After last night, they've got a great chance

Fingers crossed

a Stanley Cup win would cap off quite a run for a team that didn't make the playoffs until the 81st game of the regular season

Hopefully Carolina and Buffalo play each other to death and have little left for the Oil, definitely Canada's team now. But in the last 20 years, they probably have that claim anyway. Of all the western teams, I like them the best and would cheer for them against any other team except my Habs.

Bring it back home boys.

The cup is coming home!! It doesn't matter who comes out of the East, Lord Stanley is coming back where he belongs!!

And yes, it was poetic for the Oilers to win the game by defending a 6 on 3. Those refs were brutal tonight. But it'll take more than the Ducks and the Refs combined to beat us!!

LETS GO OILERS!!!

Posted by partyhopper on May-29-2006 02:34:

Hurricanes take a 3-2 lead with a 4-3 OT win in Game 5

Posted by halexander837 on May-29-2006 16:02:

Now they'll clinch the East with a win on the road.

Hurricanes vs. Oilers for the Stanley Cup

Canes won over Sabres, 4 games to 3, with 4-2 win in Game 7
Looked like it was going to be a 6th 1-goal game in the series before an add-on goal in the final minute

Time for Linday Ruff to start his nonstop whining on the golf course

Looks like Carolina's our next victim

man raleigh has been really crazy the past couple weeks, have a bunch of friends who have lost their voices from so much screaming.

its hurricance season

Posted by zarathustra on Jun-04-2006 15:41:

I would've rather played Buffalo with their 2 regular defensemen in the lineup. Carolina is going to be a tough opponent. Up front these teams have a lot of similarities. In net it's a pretty even matchup. On D I give the edge to the Oilers, mostly because of leading Conn Smythe candidate Chris Pronger who will have a tough matchup with Eric Staal that should be fun to watch.

GO OILERS!!! I hope there's something of left of Whyte ave. when it's all said and done.

RA LEIGH
vs
edmONtON

No Contest

Posted by partyhopper on Jun-06-2006 02:39:

wild Game 1 in the Finals
Roloson got hurt and taken out in the 3rd period
if he's unable to play any other games, that could be huge
Canes capitalized on a mistake by the Oilers backup goalie, and Cam Ward made some great saves at the end

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Jun-06-2006 20:42:

Well, if I was Mactavish, I know what I"d be telling my players for tomorrow. Run Cam Ward at every opportunity.

When did Mark Recchi become such a fucking whiner anyway?

Without Rolly, this series could be over in 4 or 5. what a huge loss for Edmonton.
