It's because the most people that visit this thread/sub-forum are Germans.

england and world cup dont really go together.

i love the english team but i just dont see england ever winning (realistically) <-- is that a word?

anywho, brazil is the most definite candidate, then id say argentina or mexico.

they do better in the WC than in the Euro. They did win it in 1966, semis in 1990, QF 1970, 86, 90, 2002, etc. They usually contend somewhat except in the 70s when they were shit. I think they have a better shot at the WC than the Euro.

Not because I'm english, but Germany this year just haven't got the squad in my opinion, They are a good team, and could possibly make it, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I would see them winning.

I think the only team that's capable of beating Brazil and keeping it from the world titel is Argentina. They just have an amazing team. If they can get through to the next round, they can make it pretty far.

On a sidenote: their last mach against Brazil ended in a 3-1 win for argentina (in Argentina) and if I'm not mistaken that was the last match brazil lost

Actually, no. Their last match was June 29th last year at the confederations cup final in Germany. Brazil won 4-1. Brazil completly run circles around them. But yah, I agree with you, Argentina is one of the few teams who may have a chance against Brazil.
