From NYC, Greyhound Bus seems to be the best way to get there. They have buses running almost every 30min throughout the whole night. It's about $25 each way, discounted if you buy a round trip package.
Bus picks you up at Port Authority Terminal (41st Street & 8th Ave), and it's about a 2hour 30min ride.

They seem to have buses coming back at all hours of the morning, so if you have to get back home after the show, you can probably make it home about 3 hours later than usual.

---------- Greyhound Bus Schedule ----------

you forgot to note that:

a) no buses go directly to the borgata

b) borgata is far away from the boardwalk. you'll have to take a cab from whichever casino greyhound drops you off at to get there.

mixx is small. but irrespective of the crowd, last year's set was good fun because the gig was announced kind of last second and wasn't heavily advertised. it was still packed a like a mofo, but not suffocatingly so.

omg its SO far from the Boardwalk its not funny, if you don't have a car it will be really HARD to get around...but maybe there are shuttles between casinos? if not, they REALLY should start that

well thats nice it turned out to be an enjoyable event and you enjoyed it. The best events ARE the ones that aren't announced/heavily promoted. I actually thought about going last year but didn't have the funds. The idea of Tiesto playing RIGHT in the middle of the casino floor is crazy tho ahah.

1. There's an AC Jitney. Google "atlantic city jitney". I seen bunch of them going in/out of Borgatta.

2. On a Walt Whitman bridge (from Philly to NJ) There's a big-ass billboard advertising Tiesto in Borgatta. It gets about 200,000 views a day and has been there for the last month or so. I know, coz' I see it at least several times a week on a way to work. Expect not only NJ Guidos but South Philly cheesesteak guidos to be in full effect (as walt whitman bridge is in the heart of South Philly).

So, don't bank on it being NOT PACKED. Also, there are trains that go directly into AC. If you don't feel like shuffling along with grandmas on Greyhound, consider taking a train to either Trenton or 30th street station in Philly and taking a train to AC. Check train availability, schedule, and pricing online. Amtrak, NJ Transit, SEPTA sites would be a good place to start.

Spirit Air also has some flight deals for those (crazy enough) to try to fly in for this shindig. From Detroit to AC it's like $69 each way.

anyway, have fun y'all.

I can't believe we didn't run into each other...I was there for the whole weekend!!!....the beach was perfect with its weather, and I won $66...not much but eh, it paid for my drinks that night!!!

I took greyhound down, here is my experience:

NYC-->AC 2.5 hours, no problems

AC--->NYC Online scedule was WAY off....I was told when I got to the terminal that the next bus was 90 minutes later than the schdeule online....then I find out that so many people were waiting for buses that I was actually standing next to a guy that had been waiting there since 6 am to get one (they overbooked by literally hundreds of people.) I was told I would have to wait about 4 hours in the "Line." My poor friend had to drive me all the way back to NYC bc of this bullshit!!

Is anyone having problems purchasing tickets online for this Event?? Please advise/PM if anyone has word on a possible "Sold Out" situation.. or tix available for sale...

I am not having ANY luck on purchasing tickets..

Posted by tsi on Aug-08-2006 12:37:

Tickets ARE sold out, confirmed with Borgata on the phone twice last night (the second time to ask about refund policy). Funny enough, if you Google Tiesto Borgata Tickets, you can find them for sale at the nifty price north of $180 a pop.

Posted by sweetcaroline on Aug-08-2006 13:49:

When are you going?

Sold out tix. Wow, glad to have gotten them.

Looking forward to the show, but dreading the bus ride home to Philly...sleep deprived, deaf, covered with a salty crust. Mmm.

I've got the logistics all figured, except exactly when to show at the Borgata. If you haven't noticed by my sig, I'm mostly there to see BT. Is there an incentive to show up before 10 pm?

By looking at my ticket, I have no idea what section I am in. The ticket says Standing only (of course) GA 2 6 4. I'm assuming, I'm pretty far back & I won't be able to see much. I doubt waiting in line outside will help that.

Anyway, when are people showing up?

Caroline

Are they going to have any General Admission tickets at the event, or is it pre-sale only?

Posted by chimchim on Aug-08-2006 22:17:

in most casino events... standing room only is in the front.... cause most events have only standing room...some do have the seats but from my experiences in the trump and taj, they are in the back...so hopefully that will be true with this event...and i kno ill be there as early as possible to gamble a lil first and then make it there in time to not be stuck too far in the back of the crowd...

Is there anyone from NYC going by car and has 1 extra spot left for a TA'er from Amsterdam? Of course I'll pay for the gas and I'm very flexible with the times. Some of you might actually know me.. I've been in NYC since January and attended all the major trance parties (ReenTeenTeen: I was the guy in the subway station, on the bench, after Armin @ Brooklyn Bridge.. talking Russian with you and your friend). Let me know - thanks!! Party is going to be great

Hahaha, cool! Are those two girls you were with there @ AVB coming with you too? I remember I was talking to one of your girlfriends about the Tiesto party @ Mention during WMC2006.

Let me find out if there is going to be extra room. There is a platoon of friends going to Tiesto this Friday.

Tickets are back on sale on Borgata ticket site.

Me & Kevin (Seriot) should be taking a bus sometime between 6 & 7 to Atlantic City from NYC. If any TAs want to join us, send me a PM.

Posted by sweetcaroline on Aug-10-2006 19:59:

Bump

Looking forward to the show tomorrow. Not too often big events pass through the Philly area.

Think I'll wear my swimsuit to the show-- might want to jump in the ocean afterward. Might visit the Borgata beforehand. Am not much of a gambler, but the Borgata is a nice place.

See you there.
