he invited a caption competition with a picture of himself looking like a right weapon. surely it's fair game?

Posted by RapidFire on Aug-02-2006 00:36:

to bring up his productions and talk shit about his DJing? no, not really.

he's a DJ/producer. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that it was going to happen

Posted by UWM on Aug-02-2006 00:49:

I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Fuck

the fact that its not makes this a very shitty community at times.

agreed with everything except the part in bold. alot of popular tracks are shit but that doesn't give them the right to attack a producer for no apparent reason. this thread wasnt even about his productions and they just came in here slagging him off. weak.

who are you to say they are shit tracks?... can you prove it?

What DJ Nemesis said is pretty much right and accurate, there's a thing as freedom of speech, but there's also a thing as freedom of speech without breaking the rules aka respecting other members on the board.

What turned to be a funny thread at the beginning became instantly in a sorry pissy fight between the usual suspects who for some reason believe or actually think they are right about everything, specially when it comes to something as subjective as music.

No, I didn't wanna post anything on the captions thing because it's not my style, but I was indeed having a good laugh from the other members' captions... but as usual, hell breaks loose and voila. Way to go guys.

I feel really sorry for you.
Not only do you not *get* Kate Bush v Infusion - Running up that hill, the fact someone mentioning Max Grahams DJing and Production skills in a thread by Max Graham, about Max Graham, clearly gets to you. I think you need to take some time out, go outside, speak to some real people, and see there's more to life than going off topic in a thread on the internet. Hang in there little fella, we're all thinking of you.

I was merely countering what he said about tracks being good because they are popular or successful. thats a crock of shit.

You are right about that, just because they are popular doesn't mean they're good... but you can't say they're shit either because you can't prove that fact, can you?

If you can prove it, then you have just converted an art into science... Not even Einstein was capable of that.

Posted by Az on Aug-02-2006 01:11:

I fail to see how I ruined the thread, as far as I can see, me calling DJNemesis a clown has been the highlight of it?

There you go then... I'm sure it is something between you and him, but as far as MG's productions or his djing, if you don't like it, you can say so without disrespecting the guy. If you are an adult, you will understand my point...

Nemesis is complaining about the fact that other members came here and started shit for no reason in particular and the whole mood changed in the thread... and he's totally right, it's not the first time this has happened and whether some people like it or not, there are a few rules laid out in the forum and one of them believe it or not is respecting other members.

I haven't mentioned anything about MG's DJing, in fact I said I like a few of his tracks. All I've said is he added nothing in a remix of one of the worst songs ever made

respect for respects sake? respect is something you earn or command, if people do neither, how on earth are you supposed to respect them?

is that your opinion or an universal truth?

What if I said it was the best remix of the best track ever made because I liked it and because I liked it is the best and your opinion is false and mine is right... what would you say to that?

it's pretty much a universal truth, it consistantly scores in the top 3 of "worst number ones of all time" charts.
and if you were to say that, it would merely confirm my suspicions that you are in fact an imbecile,
quote:
mbecile Audio pronunciation of "imbecile" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mb-sl, -sl)
n.

1. A stupid or silly person; a dolt.
2. A person whose mental acumen is well below par.
3. A person of moderate to severe mental retardation having a mental age of from three to seven years and generally being capable of some degree of communication and performance of simple tasks under supervision.
who neither commands my respect or deserves it.

I've been an ass to a few people, who have all been members (use whatever definition) of this site for a while and should know the score by now. As forums go, I'd say this ones pretty fucking friendly

By your ignorant post, then all tracks that score in the top 3 as "best track of all times" are indeed the best tracks... seems we have a winner.

At this moment I'm just wondering how old you are... I was under the impression I was talking to an adult, hence I could have a logical conversation where people can express their ideas.

You say it is the worst track but yet you fail to prove it and your best argument is that it ranks as top 3 of worst tracks of all time charts. Are you follower or you create your own path? think about it "little fella".

you're jumping to conclusions, again. I stated that Yes - Owner of a Lonely heart was one of the worst songs of all time, and backed it up with popular opinion. I could have gone with the appalling lyrics
quote:
Move yourself
You always live your life
Never thinking of the future
Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances win or loser
See yourself
You are the steps you take
You and you - and that's the only way
Shake - shake yourself
You're every move you make
So the story goes
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Say - you don't want to chance it
You've been hurt so before
Watch it now
The eagle in the sky
How he dancin' one and only

You - lose yourself
No not for pity's sake
There's no real reason to be lonely
Be yourself
Give your free will a chance
You've got to want to succeed
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
After my own decision
They confused me so Owner of a lonely heart
My love said never question your will at all
In the end you've got to go
Look before you leap Owner of a lonely heart
And don't you hesitate at all - no no
Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
(repeat)
Owner of a lonely heart
Sooner or later each conclusion
Will decide the lonely heart Owner of a lonely heart
It will excite it will delight
It will give a better start Owner of a lonely heart
Don't deceive your free will at all
Don't deceive your free will at all Owner of a lonely heart
Don't deceive your free will at all
Just receive it
or the piss poor technical playing of instruments and even worse vocal "talents". I decided on something simple, obviously that was a massive mistake against such worthy adversary

I'm 22, I study Law, and have many logical (and sometimes illogical) conversations with adults on a daily basis. Noone else seems to have trouble, maybe it's you?

see above for better arguments, and surely you trying to use my condescending remark against me would mean you're following my path? think about it sweet cheeks
