New Decks

I started out mixing MP3s on my laptop/Numark DMC-1/PCDJ application/external mixer. I got hooked immediately. Well, I finally took the plunge and bought a set of used decks. Hooked it all up yesterday, I'm in love with vinyl now

Definitely keeping the MP3 mixer in the mix...if I don't have it on vinyl, chances are I have it on my hard drive.

DJ Inferno...where do you buy your vinyls? I was at Yoshi Toshi in Georgetown on saturday, but didn't see anything that I recognized. Very cool store though, they have Tech 1200's setup all over the place so you can test out your vinyls before you buy them...have any other recommendations?

dont have a pic of my stuff atm.. but my equipment is shitty cause i spend all my money on vinyl instead :P

Yeah I goto yoshitoshi for all of my trance records...Don't know of anywhere else around here that has them....12 inch dance did have some before they became that new record store...(don't know the name of it)...I know if you can't find something in yoshitoshi....they will order it for u...They've been havin some good records lately if you are willing to pay big $$$...

i need to put more of my money away for vinyls, and pute more of my time to spinning them.

The headphones are Sennheiser HD565s, gonna be buying a pair of HD280 Pro's soon tho

2 tech 1200's and a vestax 275

Yep, either Vestax PCV275 or DJM500.

cuz the 500 is the best mixer, and the 275 is the best value for those that don't have thousands of dollars.

and of course.. tech12s.. if you don't have those, you are a wannabee in my opinion.

i have these shitty numark 1520s

but the way i see it, i don't need good gear to play out... they usually have almost everything i need when i get there
i only need some cheap decks to play with at home when not out spinning

hey now the vestax decks are pretty cool.. IMHO the only thing giving technics a run for the money.

I wouldnt mind having some of the new P3D's or whatever they are called.. or even just PDX2000s... but i like my techs!

amazing how many people are using the 275.. very popular box!

according to me Vestax are the only turntables that can come close to competing with Technics .... and that's not recent.... cause the only other decks you'd ever find in clubs are vestax ( most likely ) and yes there are some clubs out there that have other stuff then technics !
none the less technics is still going steady and strong , doing nothing to improve or promote their image yet keeping the market! that's what any company could ever dream of!
It'll take some time to steal that first place away from technics ... if that ever happens... for one, all the technical improvments and new models are mostly aimed at the scratch dj market ... where Vestax have a real position in the competition with technics ..... the others just don't hold up ... well maybe but not on many peoples terms.

i think im like the only one without a vestax 275

i have the 270a. why is it almost everyone else has the 275?
