Although I haven't voted, the reason I would vote for him would because he has been consistent in quality, and has spun records (and not just the obvious latest hits) that kept me interested throughout, while too many others just bored me to death.

Plus, he produced a few belters as well.

SvD for producing & dj'ing. Dj skills is a wast of time with all the poor productions now days. Someone need to produce some material for the dj's or the dj'ing is pointless. You can mix superb but with a poor tracklist it doesn't matter. The other way around works decently

Because he's a cool dude and deserves the vote.

James Holden - Not all DJs are classically trained, can mix in key, and school you in music theory while hammering the floor with nasty basslines...he has an ear for the most unique sounds in EDM...and an eye for some of the best label talent on the planet. Not to mention some of the best live mixes floating around...

+1 on Inconspicious about Matthew Dear, he's been incredible this year, and my second vote went to him.

I did Damian Lazarus for first..his EM was godly and all the livesets ive heard from him have been just mindblowing trackselections. Very skilled technically as well.

Voted for a local DJ called Derek "The Bandit", coz quite simply he's representing local trance music via his bi-monthly podcasts, as well as showcasing international trance to alot of people who wouldn't have found good music in the first place. Been a fan of him for years, as he was on national radio for many years as well before he decided to podcasting!

Although, I must say, Above & Beyond got my number 2, coz they TATW pumped ASOT this year!

Nic Fanciulli
Ideal meld of minimalistic trends with deep and progressive house influences. And by ideal, I mean dance floor friendly as well as being technically legit.
