everyone is allowed to have their opinion, the problem is when you say your opinion is more accurate or valid then the other opinions.

i neither said i thought the song was good or bad, im simply saying, far to much effort has been put into critizing a song that for the majority of people at clubs, enjoy!

ps. your post was a failed attempt at being witty, try harder

It's a bit presumptious to pigeonhole the people who are criticizing this track as 'that guy who writes tracklist and doesn't enjoy being out clubbing', isn't it?

Furthermore, my post wasn't hypocritical at all. I didn't attempt to defend the validity of my opinion vs the opinions of others. I posted my opinion of the track, which will not change. The times I've heard this track out at clubs, it's sounded as gimmicky and crappy as when I've heard samples on my PC.

And, trust me - I wasn't trying to be witty.

*slowly looks around...gets out pocket notebook and 1 #2 pencil...sharpens pencil...writes down "put your hands up for detroit" under "killer tunes, but i say i dont like"...laughs...leaves thread*

We will never move forward if people keep advocating a put-up and shut-up attitude over being critical of the music we enjoy.

Posted by Flec on Nov-02-2006 23:29:

ok i didnt mean to take a stab at you that hard :P but the piss off comment is what hit me. my point with the trainspotters was that there are lots of ppl who go to clubs that arent music nazis like us :P and their opinions are different heheh

with that being said i think we can all agree this song is the new sandstorm heheheh

even pvd dropped sandstorm before it got overplayed

I know you're already aware that you're one of the more useless posters on this board, I just thought I'd remind you again.

heard kenneth thomas spin this also when i saw him in austin a few weeks ago.

Right, your commentary on good and bad tracks and how a DJ should spin in the CD Reviews / Releases discussion are full of insight and intelligence.

yep!

I think in a way its a good thing that its gone number 1....shows there is hope for dance music yet.... I personally like the song but I can understand why a lot of people dont

i kind of agree with this even though i despise the tune. it's the crossover anthems that keep the scene alive in many respects, introducing alot of people who otherwise wouldn't have been introduced

it sure is a crossover , but i don't see the trance connection.

so let's move or close this now.

neither do i but i was on about the edm scene, not the trance scene in particular.

and why should it be moved/closed? check the main forum page;

damn ur right, forum is for all edm...

then it's hardcore trancers vs the rest ; the war continues.

cuz this song ISN'T real music it just can / doesn't have to work for some djs in clubs.

i personally havent heard it in a club so im not saying its bad there.

but when we're talking about musical tastes , this isnt tasty at all.

thats why its getting all the hate...
