Sex on Centrum... ftw!

great set. All these tracks are not what I typically listen to and I don't know any of them, but I thoroughly enjoyed this set. The dane cook bootleg is a pretty innovative idea. I'm also surprised why many people seemed to think Deer in the Headlights was a bad choice for this mix. I thought it was a great one-time diversion into trippy sounds that gives this mix an edge. I think that's a characteristic of all great sets - you have to have a track or two that are very different, and just sort of take the mix in a new direction for a little while, but at the same time not ruining the flow entirely. A good example: Oakie mixing in Vangelis - Rachel's Song into CD2 of Another World ...

Thanks for that. Gotta love the Internet. This set has probably been played all over the globe now. Will review Random Summer as soon as I can. But don't expect another acid trip review. My friends made me promise them I'd lay off hallucinogens for awhile. Damn, the downside of having friends who care too much for you.

And?

Amsterdam's "Centrum" area is one of the most well known tourist spots in the world - And known specifically as "Amsterdam Centrum" to much of the international community in a manner that not many folks outside of Denmark would think of Copenhagen Centrum and so on...

Want a permanent link for it?

Edit: Damn, this must be on my old computer. If you UL it to sendspace, I'll grab it again.

Posted by RJT on Nov-06-2007 22:49:

Cool - I actually just have to run home quick and grab it (and some food) prior to class tonight. I'm going to upload it from campus just because they have mega fast upload speeds.

Thanks loads Sushi

Ok, permanent link is up:

Rob, you might want to edit it into the first post, so you don't get a string of "OMG the link is broken" replies

Thanks, Sushi - first post updated!

Too easy

Actually, I look forward to giving this another listen. I wouldn't have heard it since about December last year, when I got a new computer.

Posted by RJT on Nov-07-2007 03:40:

Well I hope it ages well

As it turns out, it does indeed age well. I think I actually enjoyed it more than I did over a year ago, as the past year has been spent getting myself more familiar with house music, and all it's sub-genrefied bits and pieces.

Still makes me miss Centrum though. Been so long now

Great set

Edit: And you ended it with a bang!

Posted by OhioTranceFan on Nov-07-2007 20:09:
