Each year new songs come out: some good some bad and some plain annoying...the DJ's sound will constantly be changing. We cant go back to decadence 03. DEAL WITH IT. In 3 years you will all be saying "I wish sander k/deep dish/ferry/any DJ played like the did in 2006 , that sh!t was amazing!!"
The only DJ's i will never see again are those who litteraly suck at DJing (poor mixing) and have no passion for the music.

well said, as i mentioned before, DANNY D

What else is there to complain about? his mixing? Don't make me laugh. There wasn't one review from Ultra Spin 9 that clearly explained why he sucked...it was just tunage bashing.

well fucken said cribbs luv ya!!! mauros my man.. ahha.. dont you be dissing him up rabbit luver.. lmao :P

Dude, where have you been for the past FIVE YEARS?!?!?!?!! Mauro hasn't played any trance since then. Sure, he may drop one of his oldies here and there, but thats it.

im still a fan, but not as big. hes very hit and miss now (more miss than hit)

but i can still remember October 4th 2002.....mauro destroyed system. and it was the best club night of my life. i wanna re-live that night

Vince- stop grasping at straws and just let go. He's been on a rapid decline for years, & you're ALWAYS disappointed with the sets he's played and not that impressed w/the releases either anymore. Gone are the days of BXR.... Just admit it to yourself.

What cracks me up about this thread is all the people stating how they're sick of seeing DJ's they've probably only seen live once. Everyone has their good and bad performances. As for me, I've seen everybody so many times over, nothing is 'thrilling' me anymore, but that has nothing to do with the artists.

Posted by Irishaddict on Sep-27-2006 12:54:

There's no DJs that I would boycott per se, but it would be nice for Guv not to have such a predictable lineup for every big event.

Mark Oliver - I've given him many many chances, but I decided if he's spinning, I make sure to get in late and catch as little of his set as I can. Out of the countless times I've heard him spin, whether he's doing a 9-hour solo, opening, closing, somewhere in the middle... it's never mattered. I've been impressed 0 times. That about sums that up.

Mauro Picotto gets a vote. He sucks.

Second Sun and GreyArea get a combined vote. They should get into a fight onstage and ruin eachother's equipment so they can never play live again.

Armin van Buuren - I'm a huge fan of melodic trance. Doesn't have to be 'epic' but I want some tunes, and I want some energy. If Armin spun the type of music he puts in his CDs and plays on the Radio, I'd be all over him. But since all he seems to do these days is play boring prog with a few melodies mixed in... well, I'm 3 for 3 on being dissapointed with an Armin set.

How about a deathmatch, Second Sun tag teams with GreyArea vs. Rob Gee at next year's Sensation Black?

Thats exactly it for me too. He doesnt inspire or thrill me live anymore... its why hes left my top 5.

Me too, these days im not overly thrilled at many performances.

Rank 1 is a very notable exception, NEVER been let down by him and always get VERY excited when he comes to town!

DAVE the Drummers set at WEMF blew me away at how much i trully loved it -- i was on a different planet, he re-affirmed for me that i still can get thrills out of DJs.

Mark EG bc the man is fucking wild and I love it! I wanna see more craziness in DJs! Fucking sweet... adds a whole new dimension to my partying experience!

That's exactly how I feel about Rank 1, bro. Piet's djing has never let me down this year. He's been kicking ass good and proper. Along with Benno, they've been making some new killer remixes!

I'm really curious as to what this guy is like live. I've heard he's a hardtrance DJ and I LOVE hardtrance.

Theres alot of hardstyle in the set I heard from him, but it was some great fucking acid techno too!

I think most his sets lean more towards acid techno than hardtrance or hardstyle.

ROFL, I know who I forgot!!!

Astral Projection!!! - They need to get really really smashed, emabarrass themselves on stage, and accidently hit stop on their pre-recorded CD set, then get mugged by that group of Infected Mushroom fans who are always dancing around with that fuckin flag (mad.party.animals).

comming in at Number 1 - MARK OLIVER.
this guy is the king of hit and miss. no crowd interaction once so ever. its like the guy is spinning in a room with no windows and no sound. i know some poeple love/hate the dj dancing/cheering/jesus pose, but i mean come on. your not some factory button presser, at least LOOK happy for fawk sakes.
mark oliver has so much bloody potential its numbing. unfortunately he comes through once ina while. and thats not good enough for the best club in Canada (imo).

I've seen you many times dancin' up a storm to M.O
and his beats on a regular Saturday night @ Guv.. Heck I got pics to prove it!lol!

hes right though
sometimes i avoid coming into the room just because there absolutely no interaction (crowd vs dj)
