and also the 25 000$ booking fee from ur freind digweed really proove that music is not about money

for example PVD agency wont let him play in front of a crowd less then 2000 people but digweed agreed to a big easy pay-check and fuck his fan.

so its obvious that digweed didint come to montreal saying: yeah! i will please every montreal fan i got! no he said where's my money here ur 3 hour set now lets get the fuck out of here

my 2 cents

Atleast now I know how much digweed is... thx you for giving me an approximate cost.

back when party's was sponsor by cigarette company so they didint give a crap because the booking fee was already paid @ tribe they are paying and they have to make money so its a buisness decision to target a crowd with a lot of money

i wasnt there so cant explain anything... im guessing the boucer who let the person in, knows the person and didnt check the scumbag.

Goes too show that Michal doesnt care about who he hires or who he has in his club or who is protecting his interest.

imagine if it was a big spender that got shot... wooooo that would be a terrible lost for the club

What a ridiculous night. I'm quite happy to wait for up to an hour outside, and I stayed for much longer cause Digweed rocks and Sean and I had been looking forward to him forever. But come on. If they were having problems with the sound, why not just let people in at least to drink? Better than getting an even worse impression of the club by making us stand outside in the rain.

Anyway, now that I hear that there was a shooting, I'm glad I didn't get in. I won't be going to a club where they allow people in with guns. As good as their DJs are, they're going to have to change their image completely in order to get the respect back that we had before last night.

Dear Club Tribe and its costumers,

We at Moog Audio apologize for last nights delay. We

would like to clarify that in no way was Club Tribe

responsible for this, the delay was caused by a

defective high end amplifier, and we take full

responsibility.

Once again we apologize for this unexpected incident,

and to make up for it, Moog Audio would like to offer an

open bar from 10pm to 12pm on Thursday september 28,2006.

It was like that yesterday because of the chaos outside... it wont be like that for lawler + kleinenberg

believe me...

you guys have to wait for the next big party

even moog audio wrote that it was their fault

shooting is a rumour...

if anything near that happened... police would have closed the club... the rumour started at around 2h30... but the club closed way after that

some pushing happened etc... but nothing serious

Posted by FunKenLouis on Sep-22-2006 22:57:

by the way charlie... ive seen guys spend way more then 5K on a night

guys buys 4 bottles of crystal

600$ each + tip makes it 750 each... 3000$ well spent in a blink of an eye

gives some to the barmaids and friends...

and there you have it... hes not even drunk

I saw Rodman spend 5k in 45 minutes @ Wanda's... does this count? lolll

but, I mean come on there's not only Rodman that has money to spend on this planet.

When you go out, have lots of money in your pocket, you spend it and you dont give a fuck.

For some, spending 5k is like for others spending 5$ in a candy shop, there's lots of "son of the oil" in Montreal (not only mafia boys), their dadys feed them with a good weekly spending budget

Posted by jester on Sep-22-2006 23:16:

I honestly dont care if I spent $600 on a bottle of water, there is no fucking way i am ever going back too his horrid place.

*insert middle finger*

they wont wait 10 minutes in front... they have to get in as fast as possible cuz they will spend that cash somewheree else in a second and they wont come back...

20 guys that spend 1000$ just paid your dj + a lot of expenses...

Hey man, I respect your defense of the place... and in some senses you're right. But Tribe Hyperwhatever isn't a highroller club. It's not catering to an elite clientele. They're a venue that's providing at atmosphere for a scene. It's not right that they're holding their waiting public in line so they can let their big spenders in. If you want to do that, have a back door or a VIP entrance. Or make your big nights by invitation only. If your doors are open to the public, they're open to the public.

I can understand the economics of it; they're a business after all and want to make money. But those 20 guys that paid our dj also caused most of us to leave and not want to return. And those 20 guys don't give a s$$t about the establishment; they just want to drop their cash and feel like they're worth more than other people. It's certainly not loyalty that brings them to that club. And when they take their money elsewhere, what's Tribe going to do then when they've alienated their dedicated clientele.

I'm gonna rant on responsibility to the scene now, so if you don't believe in that kinda stuff, just skip past the orange part.

Principles and integrity and the like. We have a great scene in Montreal and a great crowd. I personally believe club owners should respect that. I know it's a pipe dream, but it's beliefs and dreams that change and rule the world, not money, no matter what people may think. Tribe failed miserably in that with what happened last night. No respect for the scene, no respect for their people.

If you're gonna say they had to deal with renovations and getting systems set up, I'm sorry, but that's no excuse. Poor management plain and simple. The place should have been ready in the afternoon. There's no way you can tell me they've been renovating steadily since they closed and unfortunately it took up until 11:30 or so last night to complete all the changes. When you're re-opening a place, you make damn sure you're ready at that time or you deal with repercussions professionally. Clearly Tribe has no understanding of this concept.

That's pretty much all I have to say about that. Except to say that I miss Myst and Zabiela...
