Originally posted by revival Huh think you had a bad night, ask Manzone and Strong about theirs! The boys were in a serious car accident after the show, but their ok. The vehicle however is not. Im sure the lunchboxes that rammed them were listening to z103 and kudos the boys will be making the trip to play in the much friendlier confines of Windsor tonight.

Originally posted by zokissima I saw MB at Miami this past March. Ever since then I've been dying to see her spin again. Was sorely disappointed at not going out this weekend until this thread. I would love to see Sonic or some other venue besides TiL book talent like Sander and Barbara.
I'm like the 100th person to say this but I'm sorry you had such a crappy night... it's even crappier than my night at Danny Howells - I don't know when I'll be going back there after that one
My first time at TiL was for Roger Sanchez and I have to say that I loved it, it was one of my best nights out, good music good vibe - no complaints.. but after that every time gets worse and worse, and I agree with how aggressive they are in the search, you'd expect something like that at Guvernment IF ANYTHING.. but you don't get anything close to that even there..
And another point that I brought up many times and still didn't get an answer is why they are bringing DJs that are for pure getting down and dirty and dancing all night (and morning) and sweating like you just don't care.. to a place like TiL, where they expect a "mature" crowd, and by that they mean people that come to make a show and spend tons of money on booze and getting chicks/dicks.. I can't figure the formula for all that and it didn't bother me SO much until the Lawler at TiL news.. SOOOO disappointing........ how are they planning to fit all the thousands of people that arrived to the skybar back in june... anyways I don't think they're putting enough thought or consideration into their bookings

Originally posted by Skipper I wonder what Babs would think of the fact that a staff member of the club is calling her a bitch in an online forum pretty unprofessional IMO

Originally posted by oldschool420 To me it seemed the way she acted was unprofessional. Are people supposed to read her mind? Just politely ask the staff to not have photo's taken and it'll be settled.

Originally posted by Skipper She is the main guest of the whole club. She didn't flip anyone the bird, tell anyone off, she just didn't pose and smile - if you have read anything she has written on her website or said in interviews, you'll know that she doesn't pretend to be happy when she's not, she doesn't make antics that aren't natural. She's not obliged to pose for photos. If it was written into her contract and she then refused, that would be unprofessional.
I don't think any one person can be blamed for the photo issue. Both parties could have done well to practice a little more courtesy and understanding.
Being a dick in response to someone else being a dick never solved any problems.

Originally posted by oldschool420 Fair enough, but it still doesn't hurt to just ask politely to have no more pictures taken if it was obviously bothering her. We obviously won't agree. So we'll just leave it at that.

Originally posted by Skipper No, I will agree with you a little communication never hurt anyone! but to say she was acting unprofessionally is a bit extreme.
^^^
You didn't handle it any better by "shoving that flash in her face (or whatever it was you said)", when you could clearly see it was bothering her.
You could have been the bigger person and asked her if she wanted you to stop.
After reading about the "pulling of the bras away from a woman's chest" and the repeated problems with this place, count me out for Lawler on 1/1. Def heading to Sonic and seeing him in Montreal instead.
That's just not kewl, mmmmmmmm k?

Originally posted by chinamon but to say that i was acting unprofessionally is a bit extreme too? if she had handled the situation a little better then she would not have been called a "bitch". its very simple. dont give me nasty looks when i havent done anything wrong.... i am there to do my job much like she was there to do hers.
quote:
Originally posted by chinamon you do have a point. but you should've seen how nasty her look was when she first saw my camera before i took the very first pic of her. like she wished i was dead. if she had given me a dirty look after i took a pic, fine. but she did not. i simply looked at her while i was holding my camera and i smiled at her. then she gave me that look. thats when i decided im gonna push her buttons cuz she pushed mine first.

Originally posted by Skipper You work for the club. Calling one of the club's regular guests a bitch, regardless of whether you think it was warranted or not, is completely unprofessional.

Originally posted by jennypie Well, I believe that another person's actions are never reason or justification for you to act the same way. At the end of the day, you're still 100% accountable for the things you do. If someone provokes you, you still have the choice of how you will react. If you're ok with stooping to someone else's level, then it doesn't matter. But from my experience, no good has ever come of that and saying "He/she did it first!" is just a little bit grade 2, isn't it?

Originally posted by Skipper I think she could have asked you to stop, but I also think you're overreacting. If you took so many pictures of her, and she was giving you looks of death, why doesn't that show up on anyone's photos? As for being a regular, Talal and Jose have been booking her twice a year for quite some time. Ultimately, if you work for the club, you have a bigger responsibility to be polite and courteous to your guests. That involves not intentionally provoking them because they didn't act the way you wanted them to act, and not calling them names on the internet afterwards because your feelings got hurt.
this thread reminds me of the one i started 'the after lastnight i'm never going to guv again' (or something to that effect) thread.
I am sorry that you have had trouble there as well Skipper, I think the bouncers are real jerks and handel women in a sexist way. I refuse to go there again too...
