Yes, there are lines in the sand but it is also bringing about good social commentary... shows people the power of words. If it makes people think before they post all the better..

Obviously not everyone gets along here and that is fine.. we are all adults and do not need to like each other.

Last week I started to question why each week Chinamon's picture thread turns into a review and critic of all who he takes pictures of. It eventually turns into everyone hating on one person who is neither a TA or has not done anything to deserve the comments.. so they pose the same way or they don't have a look you like. They are still human and if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.

Opinions are just that .. opinions. What works for one person may not work for all... just because you think they are ugly or don't like what they are wearing - we don't need to hear it.

i am confused about couple of things ... perhaps someone can kindly explain to me as i have no clue about it.

1- how is it possible for one to judge about someone else by just looking at a picture? i mean how could you state that what type of a crowd they are or what type of a person they are by just looking at their pic?

2- also how can you tell by looking at pic that certain things like sunglasses or purses or pants are fake? unless ofcourse you have extensive knowledge of fake items. but even then just by looking at a pic?? the sunglasses in that pic are labelled as " imitation " which correct me if i am wrong are made to look like the real ones so they can easily be real as they have been labelled fake.

3- why is that only Jay's pic threads get the these sort of comments/ the same girls can be seen in other picture threads with same sunglasses and what not but nothing was said in any other picture threads? is it because some of you now have a certain grudge against Jay and actually sit there and wait to see how you can put him down and make fun of his friends? while he is out there many a nights doing what he loves and doing it for the people he cares about and people that care about him.

4- if you were not even present at the said party i dont think you actually have any clue about anyone's personality or what they are wearing or who they are hanging out with so what gives you the right to comment on such things? is it because you just belong to the same message board? because if thats the case its pretty lame in my opinion.

It is a photo that was taken by the space probe Voyager 1 on February 14, 1990. As the spacecraft left our neighborhood for the outer fringes of the solar system, engineers turned it around for one last look back at its home planet. The camera was about 6.4 billion kilometers (4 billion miles,) away from Earth when it captured and sent back this lonely portrait of our world (Caught in the center of scattered light rays, a result of taking the picture so close to the Sun), Earth appears as a tiny point of light, a crescent only 0.12 pixel in size.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there � on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world.
