Truly a fucking tune & a half if I might say so.

The last vid of yours in the previous post was

Marc Marberg vs. Kyau & Albert 'Megashira', out on Euphonic if memory serves.

Hey dude, don't quote me on this but it sounds like:

Duderstadt and Anita Kelsey - Smile [Duende Dub Mix]

Decent reviews on the whole - am seeing them in Chicago next week for the first time and looking forward to it.

+A&B dropped some good tunes.. YES
-A&B dropped some old{no vibe} tunes.. YES
-Top 40 crowd.. YES
-Pushy.. YES
-Lost my raybans..

but.. if u took the time to go see DEKO-ZE afterwards.. he played an amaaazin' set.. i had gr8 company and the crowd there was good and everyone was havin' a blast.. still with all the cons, that made it for me (and a half) and overall it was a gr8 nite..

Posted by AceMan6 on Feb-13-2007 06:05:

i had a good time, and it was my girls first time there, she enjoyed it as well and would like to go back...meet a few nice people, and yes it was really pushy and crowded...im not sure if the wait to get in or the wait to check my coat was longer....

I was referring to the A&B Club Mix of 'Home', but as for the other track - Well, just keep your ears peeled. She's comin'.

oops but yea I believe you dude as we were discussing, I am sure that will get some decent play on TATW and will be the web vote winner. Club Mix of Home is friggin superior to any other mix of their songs I have ever heard...not since the G&D remix of No one on earth have I been so inspired of their work.

thanks to MO for the lifesaver that putted some flavor to the night.

i think the crowd was way pushier because the people wasn't precisely dancing.. and whats up with the sound at guv ? am i going deaf or what ?

I'm with you man, that's why I didn't go. Djs anymore (at least the TRANCE ones coming here) aren't being consistent in making their sets go anywhere. It's like they're just dropping random tunes that are amazing but dont' go anywhere when you listen to the entire set. Anybody can just go up there and play a set of good tracks. It takes a wicked dj to combine them in a way that makes sense and that leads somewhere AND having those tracks be amazing in and of themselves. Even at KvA this was not happening. (at least in the mainroom)

While I agree for most part, better than some DJs playing same tracklist over and over and over.

Random IMO is better than predictable.

It was random in the sense that it had no flow, but it was predictable in the sense that we knew what would be played, I was only happy when I heard a few new tunes that have been club plays only, which is ALWAYS a treat.
