Hahaha yeah, I was there too (strange that i never saw you). I was going to text you and tell you to run downstairs for it, but I figured that you would have arrived after it was over. Oh well, glad you got to hear it anyways.

That track was sooooo wikkid. I totally forgot that it was played.

+1

I honestly cannot remember the last time I fully enjoyed myself at a party. I mean I always have a good time, but this kinda went beyond that. Maybe it was the fact that so many tracks brought back so many memories.
After Rays set I decided that it was time to check out the Jungle. I haven't been to a Jungle party in years, and am now wondering what I have been thnking. It felt so good to just rock it out. After about an hour and half though my legs just couldn't take it anymore (I am so out of shape.)
I went back into the TA room to find so TAs just having a blast. I also got the chance to hear Dennis spin (finally) Really enjoyed the tunes, but because I haven't danced to 138bpm in about 5 years I was a lil bit of trouble really getting into it. After Dennis's set a couple of friends wanted to back to the main room (right speaker crew FTW) to rock it out a lil more to the Jungle. When Johan was about to get on the decks the MCs had a lil surprise for us, "look at the screens, look at the screens" and low and behold, WEMF 2007 was announced. Congrats on another year Denstiny.
So I was a little bit nervous for Johan to throw down his first track, but then couldn't get enough once he did. I was about to run back to the TA room to tell the girls where I was, when I hear " I can't get no sleep" My friends Laurie and I just look at eachother in awe. (Yes I know that it was dropped the night before) but Laurie and I haven't partyed together in about 3 years and to that track just made our night.

I had trance in my pants the rest of evening and was loving every second it. The only thing that I didn't like was all the shocked faces from everyone when they saw me having fun at trance party.

I am not a music snob, well maybe sometimes :P

Can't beleive we all just stood there belting the lyrics out. LOL. Girls that was awesome, I just wish Nada was there with us she definitely would have loved it.

I left at about 5 with RJ & Margarget x2. Decided to head over to Sonic for a bit to check out Chab.

Thank you Del for such an amazing night. I am so happy I decided to come out to this.
Magda you are such an amazing girl, so glad that we got a chance to rock it out to Trance together.

And to all my Ladies - you girls f*cking rock.

copied and pasted.
sorry for repeat.

Special thanks to my friends, Crystal, Albert and Daha.

They DRAGGED ME kicking and screaming to Destiny.
They had to also DRAG ME AWAY FROM DESTINY.

Destiny as usual was a blast. Saw many familiar faces.

I entered while Psyklone was playing. Pounding those beats.

My favourite and what I thought was the best set was D-monic's.

It's going to be really hard for any breaks set top this one.
I can easily say, best set of the year for me.
I couldn't tear myself away from the dancefloor.
I even heard one of my most favourite chemical brothers track - from the brother gonna work it out.

WATCH ME NOW, FEEL THE GROOVE, SOMETHINGSOMETHING, GONNA MAKE YOU MOVE

It felt a little weird going upstairs for the breaks room - but whatever.

It did lead me to travel into the jungle room - I think capital j and mystical were slamming those decks n mics. :|
yes, their mcing didn't bother me! They rocked it out hard.

I was there for a bit in the TA room.
H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y!

J E L O
was just getting into it and I had to leave
[cause i know people are just dying to know this]

Overall, good night + good vibes.

HOLY SWEET TRANCE IN MY PANTS!!!

What a fantastic party - the best one so far this year

Made the drive with Dannie and Andrew, met up with Branden and and old highschool friend of mine, Bartek, who finally realized why I've been nodding my head to a four-four kick all these years.

The lineup was long, but it was fun to meet all the anxious party people in line. Almost worth putting up with the cold...almost

Checked the coats, thawed out, then headed to Liberation Lounge to get the festivities started. Walked into some wikked dark proghouse stuff - and although I don't recall the name of the dj that was playing at the time I do remember that I was promised a demo (PM me! lol). Must say that I really love the Liberation Lounge when its packed full of awesome people!

Dennis kicked ass (no suprise) with techy-style tunes. Rippin Bass = win! I think that he dropped Flat Mode - Play This Game, but I'm not sure if I have that tune mixed up with something else. It was a progressive house track with at techy 3/4 lead synth (I think... If anyone can ID it let me know).

I continued to get my drink on and ran into a rather inebriated Dallasstar LOL. Hilarity ensued. We fought. I won. Rematch while waiting in line for the bathroom. Dallas wins. lol @ drunken shenanagins. (We still need to schedule a tiebreaker) All this while waiting for Johan to start in the main room.

Johan Gielen. This guy has some SERIOUS stage presence. When standing behind the decks he's just massive. It was awesome that he got to build up from ground zero after the Drum and Bass guys. Second track in, some crazy rework of Faithless - awesome! One of the tracks that made my night: PHYSICAL OVERDRIVE. Wow. A really personal track for me at the moment, and hearing it dropped by the man himself just totally rocked me. His set got harder and more techy, (mixing was questionable at times) and I was starting to crave a change of pace, and looked at the time - Holy shit! It was already 430 in the AM!

Time for KVA. Well its about damn time I heard some PROPER trance from beginning to end. Great tunes, good mixing, great energy. These guys were a lot of fun. It was to the point where I was dead tired, and dancing on the sprained ankle was really starting to kill, but I kept saying "ok, after this track". Well....that attitude kept me there till the lights went on, and I don't regret one second of it.

KvA tracks of mention (although I'm sure I've left some ch00ns out)
Kush - World is Watching Lange & Gareth Emery - Another You, Another Me
Kyau vs Albert with Marc Marberg - Megashira
KvA - Made of Sun
Blake Jarrell's mix of Chasing Cars
KvA - Are You Fine
Ronski Speed - The Space We Are (OCallaghan Mix)
KvA mix of Find was an awesome way to finish off the night.

As usual, Destiny delivers. Party of the year so far. Hands down. I kinda felt bad for not being able to make it to A&B, but after 20 mins, I realized I had definately made the right decision.

Venue 8/10 - Using upstairs coatcheck ftw, volume was good, sound was decent, the only negative was not being allowed on guestlist because the bouncer didn't agree that we were allowed +1's
Crowd 10/10 - being in the Liberation Lounge til 2:30 kept out the riff raff, great to meet new
Music 300/10 - Absolutely perfect. When a the tunes have you holding your head in awe on the dancefloor (while sober, lol), you know that somethings going right
At one point my cheeks were tired from smiling for so long

Sounds like a great party! I knew the tracks K&A would play would make it worth it and especially with some of the people going to this. Never would've thought K&A would've dropped Moonlight Party Too bad for me... oh well, Armin is less than 2 months away

Posted by Swamper on Feb-12-2007 17:44:

Wow, what a great party!

I was happy to see all you TAs out in full force - it also a nice surprise to run into a handful of the 'semi-retired' old schoolers who I don't see out nearly as much. When the TOTAs come out then it's pretty much guaranteed to be a shitshow of good times - and this weekend it brought out the double header (Happy Bday Rich/Danielle). :P

Tara -- I know deep down you're a junglist and a trancehead - it's ok - you can come out of hiding now - we're all friends here, lol.

Special thanks to Ray, Sean, Dennis, Linga, Stilez & Mobius, and Jelo for keeping the room bumpin throughout the night!

Until the next one!

(p.s. - Nat&Graham - you were missed!)

THANK YOU ALEX FOR THE AMAZING VIDS!!!!

Okay so i just got home from one crazy awesome weekend in witch i set a personal record ... As for the docks i wasn't too exited to go to docks as i mentioned before it's prob one of least fav places to party in all of toronto i just hate the setup at these bigger parties how every so often they move trance and jungle form one room to another and you have like a kazillion kids switching rooms...lame ... beside that the line up wasn't really my cup of tea but i was willing to put up with it cuz when TA's are out in full for i always have a blast <3 u guys!!! Since the music wasen't what i personnal enjoy i found myself in wonder around mode for most of the night so i got to see a lil of everything set Of the night for me hands down was J to the E to L to the O (but that was expected), IMO Dennis Hahn's set was defiantly one of the harder ones i herd him play and at the same time one of my fav's awsoem job buddy The room seemed like red version of the Purple room lol ..Suprise of the night defiantly was Litikal Orbitz comeing out hybernation and finally making it out great seeing you man (thanx btw). Even though i'm not a fan of trance i did ctach some of Johan Gielen's set i've seen him a few times before and i know he always puts on a good show IMO Johan Gielen > Kyau and Albert on sat hands down....Great seeing everyone <3 Left around 6am then off to zone were the madness continues

No it was "Land of Confusion" which is on Genesis' Invisible Touch Album. I think it was a new track of Johan's as it was his last track.
