First party, I saw Deko-ze, he opened. I didn't like his set ONE BIT! He was actually killing my vibe if I recall correctly.
Then next up was Sven Vath. I enjoyed his set.
Though for me it was all abut the next man. Mauro Picotto. He fucking blew me away that night. I remember it being like 3:30am I think and thinking to myself "SHIT! He's only got 3 hours left! FUCK" and being upset and how fast time was flying... then he spun longer, till 7:30 I think, an extra hour. I know Picotto played till at least 7am though.
Though trance was my music... that was the night I got my first REAL taste of techno... but somehow it took till D.A.V.E. The Drummer at WEMF for me to recall that and fall in love with it.
Oh yeah, Oakenfold was in Guvy too that night. We opted for Picotto.
I am happy with my choice. It was -supposed- to be an all-access party... but there was some debacle w/ getting wrist bands, and a lot of ppl were screwed over. I recall friends being disappointed with Guv that night.

my first EDM party was tiesto @ the docks 2003 then shortly after dumonde @ viva sept 2003 which was one of the best parties i have ever attended in my life.
Frank Traxx on some Spanish beach in the summer of 03. OMG what a night
!!!
I saw SOS in one room, Anabolic Frolic in another, Just Rich in a third. And then some DnB in a fourth room.
I'm pretty sure it was a U4EA party in 1998 in Toronto.
I remember telling SOS a few years later to fight off the dark side and not to give into Paladin! lol.
SOS on late night radio and 1groove.com (back during version 1.0) were what got me into Toronto's scene.
Tiesto at Dragonfly this past summer.
i had the best time ever, comparing it to the parties ive been to since maybe it wasnt one of the best sets ive heard and what not BUTTT it was the best experience, i had my closest guy friends with me, niagara falls was so pretty in the morning, the atmosphere, the music and first night i danced till morning lol it was amazinggggggg <3
I think it was tall paul, but i'm not 100% sure. i know it was trance.

A Destiny party in 1996.
for the longest time I didn't go to edm events cuz I had no one to go with... all my friends hated the music
then i finally got my ass out to see Matt Darey @ Viva, and from then on everything changed.
