The difference is the all ages clubs are all mainly top40 clubs (with the exception of viva), while the 19+ clubs you go to showcase EDM. It has more to do with the lifestyle associated with the music than the age limit. Go to a top40 19+ club, and your ass will be violated just the same as at a top40 all ages club.

I'm with Bojana on this one. 19+ venues are not even comparable to all ages clubs when it comes to the pick-up scene and grinding. At all ages clubs, most of the dancing done is grinding. It is accepted, and almost EXPECTED of guys to go up to as many girls as possible and grind with them, without so much as even talking to them, or even looking at them first. Going up to a girl from behind unexpectedly in a 19+ club is a big no-no. In an all ages club, it's normal.

I remember the technique the girls used to do. A guy would start grinding them, and instead of looking around to see the guy, the girlfriend in front of the girl being grinded would look at the guy, and either give a nod to keep grinding (ie. he's good looking), or pull her away and start dancing with her. Now that I look back on this, I just can't even believe that this kind of stuff happened!

I remember a couple of times girls grabbing at my crotch while I was grinding them without even having looked at me yet !!!

Other than a few z103 parties at The Docks, I've never ventured into the whole all ages scene.

When i was 15 i used to go on grinding rampages... just from one ass to the next. My legs would KILL the next day.

Now i cant even STAND that shit. I dont even like griding with my gf, its just stupid and distastefull.

...

and I think it's really stupid to be debating the merits of all ages top 40 clubs vs. 19+ EDM clubs when the thread starter was posting EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.

the guy is not asking anyone to come party...he's not promoting the damn club...he's asking if anyone here wants a fucking job.

FFS, lol.

tru dat
me and my buddies had a competition who would grind more girls in one night. One time at helium i think it was i set the record to 15 LOL. The only shitty thing about it was that we had to dance to reggae or hiphop hahah

same here. i only went once to summer rush at the docks when i was 16. after taht, it was all about viva. thank god for that place.

Posted by Swamper on Mar-02-2007 05:49:

Bonus grinding points given if you can do an 'intercept' between two hotties grinding with each other soon after they try to escape from scary guy #1 and scary guy #2.

Geroin - lol we used to do that too... except at Taboo back almost 10 years ago on it's r&b nights (Thursdays)... it was fun being a white boy in there, haha.

I was right up there in front when he came on. Good times.

I had my first grind in the Orange Room in Dec '03. I wasn't looking for it, it found me. It was the most sex I had in a long time.

Me too.
I just heard way too many fucked up things about all-ages clubs to actually attend.

haha, i think i was there for that one too.

but unfortunately I missed darude
the club was closed off from the patio area and we couldnt get in...
darude was the reason I went... those bastards.

generally the summer rush was a pretty shitty experience for me... crappy euro all over the place, no sitting room, super packed, hot, etc. and the only trance they had there I didn't get to hear.

The best part of that day/night was probably DJ Spence Diamonds. Although he was playing hip-hop he did a pretty good job... played a bunch of B.I.G. tracks did a few mashups and such, totally got he crowd hyped

There is absolutely nothing wrong with going out and meeting new pple...this should be done but the approach that is used in the two different venues is just so different....

Like Highroller said, at the all all ages events- it is expected for a girl to go up to a guy and grab his shit and for the guy to have her ass ride his dick...I have never seen someone try and do that to the places that I go out...I mean come on....we're all fucking grown up...there are other ways of meeting new pple ... ways that you will get much more respect with no slap on the face!!!

Trust me- I had a guy come up to me once and try to grind behind me, when I said no he still insisted...so I beat the living shit out of him on the dance floor....lol.

It's a job opportunity, not a party opportunity.

I agree as well. Who cares if it's not a club that we're going to hang out at, at least some of the younger people will have something to do besides going to the movies.

You're looking for DJs in the wrong place then!

And about the tipping...it's not the bartender's fault that they're getting paid low wages. Everyone knows that they rely on tips. So if you get a beer, or even a water, the courteous thing to do is tip - even if it's not a lot, a tip is a tip. Someone asked how hard it is to open a bottle of water? Why does that deserve a tip? Well it's just as hard as opening a bottle of beer - IMO the bartenders in both cases deserve tips.
