I can say they aren't reliable cars...reliability lies more with Toyota & Honda.

lol yeah. mitsubishi is what saab used to be. saab is known in their old cars for the same thing.

Volvos, Audis, VW, Saab, etc... i always assume the service for those is a little different than the more popular brands.

not that it's a bad thing, persay.. i just like to know what i'm getting into.

exactly why i got rid of my VW a few years back...

i bought my jetta brand new in 98 and by 04 it was dead... at about 80,000 miles it hit a wall and everything died on it and to get my shit fixed i had to go to the dealer b/c all the local places were bumfucked confused with the way VW's work...

i have a nissan now... its amazingly better and shocked with some of things nissan thinks of... they are sick..

bad idea, porsches arent made to run forever and the 944 is the worst of the bunch, why do you think it was almost affordable as a porsche? plus repalcement parts et al and redic. i knew i guy that did the same thing, said tires were 400 each|

tires are not 400 dollars each lol.. he must of been buying some really god tires and they must of been very wide.

anyhow ya parts are a bit expensive but they are still reliable. and yes its a cheap porsche, perhaps the 3rd cheapest they have made. its still better than anyold mazda or civic. my neighbor has one.. he had it forever, loved it, decided to rip it apart and make it a racecar.

was it an MKIII or an MKIV? since that was the transition year. if it was an MKIV i can attest to the first 2 years were total SHIT. that jetta has/had so many problems. i think thats what jamie has.

If you think you have a lot of repairs on an Accord, then wait till you get a Mitsubishi. You'll be begging to have your Honda back.

Posted by lcid on Apr-09-2007 19:25:

so i'll be picking up my 2003 Jetta GLS 1.8 turbo on Weds or Thurs this week... just waiting for the financing to get finalized.

i'm so excited!

Did Bill or JT call you today?

Posted by bas on Apr-09-2007 19:27:

just spoke to Bill. i got denied from the first lender because i'm not from the area and i don't have any immediate family in Appleton, so he's waiting to hear back from another one which he thinks will go through just fine since i have excellent credit.

Ah, nice.

I thought that might happen just based on the fact that JT said something about Credit Unions sometimes being sketchy about financing nonmembers or whatever.

Did he say to expect to hear from him yet today, or later this week?

Posted by Slylee on Apr-09-2007 19:31:

why don't u guys just call each other? lol

Believe it or not, during the day this is easier.

And neither of us care that any of you have to put up with it.

he said he'll let me know by the end of today... but i can't get up there until Weds or Thurs since i don't feel like driving up tonight. i feel like going home and being lazy, and i still have a ton of shit that i need to take out of my car.

PSHHHH Jamie if we called each other we wouldn't be able to up our post counts... and everyone knows more posts = bigger dicks (which is crucial to my reputation)
