it was to make up for the 432 penalties the refs didn't call in the other 6 games. trips, hooks, slashes, interferences, and all the phantom or questionable calls against us. ie. the leg sweep at centre ice on morrison, or the high stick to the face during a power play that would have given us a 5 on 3, whereas dallas had at least 2 5 on 3s due to canuck high sticks.

game 1 was brutal and should be remembered only as a reminder of how NOT to play (the first 5 mins was great though).

i thought it was brutal the make-up call on burrows. the ref 'misses' the high stick and so selanne knocks him over and burrows gets a diving penalty for being knocked over AFTER the whistle? both of them should of gotten penalties if in fact that was a make-up call.

Luongo absolutely stood on his head last night! I can't believe how amazing this guy is! At the end of the season the Canuks better line up and kiss Luongo's ass! They really needed to steal 1 in Anahiem if they have any chance of taking them out, and after last night's performance, I'm still a believer
