the Western Conference obviously plays a better brand of hockey. The east plays an inferior product, thanks to crap teams like Philadelphia, Toronto and Montreal
its the NHL stupid, its city by city, not a national tourney, I have no compassion for any other team.
I go for the players, city, then country personally.
WTF the fuck was Aflie ( the sweedish meatball) thinking...shooting the puck at Niedermayer..and it hit him!!! Wow Alfie gave the ducks something to chew on...Sens were the never same after that. Wonder what Don Cherry is going to say about that one. 
I dunno. Everybody and their cat is blaming Alfie today but the Sens just plain blew it, too many breakdowns in the neutral zone. Pronger did an equally boneheaded play the game before but at least the Ducks responded better.
I just can't believe there could be a Cup winner celebrating in Anaheim, when it was in North Carolina and Tampa Bay the previous years. You talk about a lack of fans out in suburban Kanata.. try those cities for size. Downtown Ottawa would have been chaotic.
Good for the league's health maybe but Boston, Chicago and other traditional NHL markets need to start winning again.

Did u see the last 3-4 mins of the game...the Sens effort was pathetic..they couldn't get a shot on net...Typical Sens fans...they didn't start cheering for their team till Emery left the net. : )
well, if the Sens pull off some sort of miracle, it would taste that much sweeter.. kinda like when a hot girl doesn't put out so early.

oh yeah, and to think him and Gerber make up almost 25 percent of the salary cap. Just think who you could get for that.. or at least re-sign Emery, Alfie, Preissing and a few others. Ottawa could've used Gary Roberts here for sure.. another guy who will crash the net at all costs. Put him with Spezza and Heatley to give that line some ompf.
