I think the thing was Patrick,,a few people wanted to hear trance down by the river at night..I honestly don't think they were purposely being disrespectful...Also Pat bare in mind everyone was hammered...

I thought the music at the dock was perfect and we look forward to seeing the Boston boys back here soon...

Did Mike make Love to the Tiki Torch?

Mighty Dub Catz - Magic Carpet Ride 07 (Claude VonStroke Remix)
Phatjak - So High (James Harcourt Remix)
Zoo Brazil - Face
Jon Silva - The Love In Me

ya...I was really playing minimal electro (Sarcasm)

Im just saying in general, the music was too slow, too progressive for too long. I didnt care about listening to trance, I just wanted something harder and faster to energize me.

The tiki torch wasnt available for comment, it was alittle too wiped out.

I wasnt playing slow or progressive. This is why I didnt want to do a 4 way tag team set

But it is what it is. This was a chill party with friends that was to be relaxed and go with the flow, which it was. I am sure no one was intending to be rude to you guys but it did feel one sided as to what was played (IMO) and I think we all felt that everyone was down with each other and would respect that other people wanted to hear other music as well as other people wanted to get on the decks. Patrick I could complain that Jay didn't get on the decks until Sunday morning and he was one of the first ones there or that he stayed up until 4:00 AM the night before practicing his set for everyone, but whats the point he did get to play at some point in time to a small group of friends. Some of the DJ's that came don't get to spin out much further then their basement or backyard and were excited to play at an AWESOME spot for all the friends and some new people and it upset them cause they felt the chance was taken away from them. Please try and look at it from everyone's point of view, I think that for the most part everyone understood about the situation and it really should be kept behind closed doors going further. Why ruin a great weekend with something so trivial. We can't go back in time and change the past we can only learn from it for next year.

I have a right to be offended when my friends were getting pissed that they couldnt even enjoy what I was playing without getting horassed...That's not trivial. They were there to have a good time with me not to hear immature trance vs. house bullshit

well you do know black people get killed first in scary movies so i see why you had us in a central location

yeah i don't have one on my eyelid, i don't know why they attacked his face.

as for the music discussion i too would have liked to hear some variety but oh well people were aving a good time. although i do wish i could have stayed awake so i could hear michi's set.

Agreed, lets not let this take away from the fact that this was a sick night.

should more dj's been allowed to play , yes and I feel somewhat guilty that I played for so long and some people didn't get to play at all, for this i aplologize. I am not a deck hog and dont want to be considered one by anymeans, i was just going with the flow.

Next time i think that everyone should be given an hour time slot and after there should be a tag team of ALL of the dj's that had 1 hr slots, that way the music selection would be far more eclectic and cater to everyones needs.

just my 2 cents

Vlad , you should have drank more patron for energy lol - that picture is halarious.

you most have a right to be offended but at this point wouldn't it be best if you talked to the people who actually offended your friends? keep in mind some people weren't all there and might have NO idea they said or did anything rude.

PS: Saxaphones rule!

Posted by steven-neil on Jul-17-2007 17:27:

I really don't want negativity to get in the way of doing this thing again....It's my fault why it all didnt go all according to plan...also I really dont wanna have people put off and not come to the next one....

Me and Tae got sick,, simple as that and there was a lack of organisation...However one thing I wont take responsibility for is Dj's that get here 12 hours late.......
