The set has its moments, and I lean towards the housey techno tracks, but for the most part, this does nothing for me. I won't knock his mixing or programming, they're obviously spot on here, but that means nothing for me if I don't like the tracks. Ah well, guess I'm more of a deep house fan than techno.

I meant a good rave. Sorry, I should have specified.

Anyone else notice the weird sounds appearing like 6 or 7 times in Marc - Marzenit - Spheere? At first I thought it was a car or bicycle braking hard outside, but no, it's in the track. And it's not something Digweed has put there, because the unmixed track also got it. To me it just sounds out of place.

On a sidenote; what does he say?! Sounds like "I guess you bent", "Unless you bent", "I'm just .. ?"

This track and the Gui Boratto remix of Silverlake Pills are just awesome.

To me it sounds like "I guess she bangs"...but then again I've been very wrong about this stuff in the past...

Totally agree about Spheere and Silverlake Pills being awesome

Edit: I was listening to it last night, and I think it's more like "I heard she bangs"

hehe, i agree 100%! 'full on rave mode' with this cd lol

washing synths, relentless basslines, on point mixing, and lots of layering the sounds of each track. this cd has it all.

turned out to be true. the editing really made this, and the fact that they weren't brand new tracks actually helped, to some extent. However, that transition into Genesis drives me crazy every time. With just a couple minute changes, it would be incredible, but, instead, you're forced to pretend you don't hear the cacophony that results from a failure to change a handful of notes.

You are totally right and you get 100000 more points for the Tom Emansky Video avatar... that's the funniest fucking thing I've seen all day. Btw how bullshit was that clip of the outfielder getting a throw into a bucket from dead center....must have taken like 100 takes hahahahaha

Finally bought this to see what all the fuss was about. And the fuss is worth it - easily in my top two compilations of the year (I still have a sweet spot for the Luke Fair Balance )

Hadn't heard many of the tracks before but there were some real gems.
