Hahah confirmed 3rd degree sunburns on parts of my shoulders.
man, were those strips where the wifebeater moved (ie. the non-tanned part) ever painful.
glad the little bubbles are going away now.
good ole wemf, always has something in store for me.

My Official Wemf review:
Had a bus scheduled for 2pm and got inside after all the searches and line waiting at about 6 in the afternoon. Met up with my buddies and was really impressed at how the exhibition grounds reminded me of the one in Orangeville in 05. First night of music was FUCKING OFF DA HOOK YO! Chris Liberator was playing fucking hard he was making mistakes but thats cause he was messed up on substances. :P Remember Liberator playing a remix of One Night In Hackney, can anyone ID that remixed track? I didnt catch Jelo and Donald Glaude's set because I had to check out Pendulum who was spectacular! He played one of the best tracks of all time at Wemf this year. It was a remix of the Daft Punk track Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger did anyone else remember Pendulum spinning that track? I missed Deadmau5 who i really wanted to see but the chain of events that happened at Wemf made it impossible to.
During the day saturday i wasn't feeling too good from the night before because my friend gave me Hawaiian versions of Morning Glory seeds and it made my stomach feel like shit the following afternoon. But after eating slowly i was getting better over time. Now Saturday afternoon was one of the most jokes day ever in my life mainly because of the words that were being spoken over the walkie-talkies. Me and my friends had so much fun talking to random people on channel 5 i believe. Met some people walking around the venue, saw sum interesting tents (like the tent i saw that had a hole and said K-Hole above it) and finally night took over the sky.
I checked out Scott Stubs at first and wasn't impressed by the cheesy trance he was playing so i left back to the dnb room. I even tried to check out MSTRKRFT and i kept coming in and out of the room to give them a try but honestly i just couldnt dance to their music. I lost my schedule and missed out on Atomic Babies which i was very interested in seeing. In the Dnb room i managed to check out more headliners than the 4/4 room simply because there was better music and mixing happening in that room. I was not impressed by Adam Sheridan and Mark EG got boring after 20 mins or so. And by 2:30-3:00 i was just chilling with this cool chick that i knew from before and spent the remainder of the night talking to her, so i missed out on SS, Preach, some of Mampi's set and Mark EG's set.
But all in all WEMF 07 i spent most of my time with friends it wasnt the best in music it was still so much fun and worth every fucking penny.
PS. Oh and if someone has any tracklists for Preach's, MARK EG, MSTRKRFT, Atomic Babies, Deadmau5 and Chris Liberator's sets it would greatly be appreciated.

It was my 7th WEMF. Not the best, but definitely one of my favorites, for various reasons.
This was the first year that it "wasn't about the music" for me. it was about the friends and the good times with them. Previously there were new acts that I really wanted to catch, or I was playing myself and had excitement built around that.
But, I still had a blast. The venue was my hometown, and that felt kinda weird. I didn't mind the 4/4 or Jungle room at all. the short carpet was great to dance on, and wasn't hard on your feet.
The DJ sets that I did catch (Reid Speed, Dj Icey, Mark Eg, Chris Liberator, MSTKRFT, Deadmau5) all put on great performances and great sets. The lighting and visuals were as good as any WEMF, and the vibe was awesome. The air circulation was also fantastic, considering the situation. Even with packed room, it wasn't really that hot....and things have been much worse before.
The only disappointment was the hardsounds stage. It seems like each year, they're not given serious consideration by the organizers. A few years ago, it was a back room sweat box with little-to-no access for the first 5 hours of saturday. It's also sad, because last year people ate the stuff up when the outdoors closed. The Hardcore room was the busiest it's been since Dunnville, even with the heat of that room in Tweed.
So, all in all a great WEMF with friends and my girlfriend, who survived her first. Thanks Destiny, and thanks to everybody who gave something for the food drive!

FUCK.
The mom just saw the sunburn I got... and really thinks I need to see the doctor... 7 days, 1 week later, and sections of it on my shoulders arent even remotely healed... still firey red. It's peeled, but underneath it's STILL just as red as it was last Saturday when I got it.
Godbless the sun. No wonder I was in so much pain last Sat night lol
