The Reds got a BIG break. Materazzi didn't deserve either yellow card.

At least the ref is screwing over both sides. Does he know about the handball rule?

Posted by bas on Feb-19-2008 21:27:

I'd never thought I would say this but...Kuyt for the fucking win.

Put your hands up for Dirk Kuyt, he loves this city!

Posted by bas on Feb-19-2008 21:33:

Has anyone seen that video of Steven Gerrard djing at some super club in Liverpool? Funniest fucking thing I've ever seen.

Posted by denys envy on Feb-19-2008 21:34:

Gerrard!

needed that, return leg in Italy would've been brutal without it, now they might have a chance!

Posted by bas on Feb-19-2008 21:41:

That Roma v Madrid game looked HOT. Definitely hope I can catch a replay of that.

Posted by denys envy on Feb-19-2008 21:42:

the africans prove themselves useless and tired from AFN.

Chelska's home record suggests they're through to the next round.

Inter and my Putos lose today...shitty ...ah well back to maxin and relaxin on my days off haha

Bad result for us. Schalke started the game well and scored straight ahead. We stabilized the game a little later on, had the upper hand during the second half and somehow Lisandro even missed a done goal, but the ball didn't went in.

It's not looking good but there's a chance to recover at home.

Posted by Unique2701 on Feb-19-2008 22:06:

Kudos for Gerrard

Hope the match tomorrow will be less boring. I hate Italian clubs, but I'd love to see some Kaka magic

Pfft, Inter milan aren't an italian team.

Kaka, pirlo, gattuso and pato will hopefully teach these arsenal kids a bit about champions league football, I just hope arsenal don't to their dirty tricks like they did agaist nani on saturday.

The real excitement will be a at celtic park tho..

COME ON THE HOOPS!

Posted by verndogs on Feb-19-2008 23:58:

The ref in the Liverpool - Inter was just abysmal.

1) He practically gave Liverpool the game and possibly the series against Inter with his two bullshit yellow cards on Materazzi. Neither call he made was even CLOSE to being a yellow.

2) Does this ref know about the handball rule? There were two instances where Inter should have been called for handball and he didn't call anything. I couldn't believe it.

only place you are going to see that is in replays of last years milans champions league matches

if you want to see some magic live, watch the united - lyon game tomorrow ... theres this Cristiano Ronaldo guy playing in it

Posted by fcuk on Feb-20-2008 08:42:

Hahaaha Inter what happened? No helping hands from the ref ay? This is the Champions League not the Serie A where you have been 'protected'.

Moving on to important things the emirates stadium is where the excitement will be at. Cesh fibreglass won't even been seen with Gattuso roaming around.

Raveed - Ahh Kaka magic...I especially love watching the one where Manchester United lost 3-0 at San Siro. But I couldn't see this Crisitano Ronaldo guy you speak of Was he playing?

those were two perfectly legit yellow cards imo

you simply gotta keep your hands of a player who is through

I caught highlights of this game.

Yeah, it's hard to see Porto going through now, but at least being down 0-1 isn't the worst thing in the world.

first yellow was crap, he barely touched him, I didn't see if there was a clip on the ankles but there was nothing worth carding up top.

2nd yellow was deserved, but should've been the first.

first half handball was unintentional (off rebound shot to far post by Liverpool), he wasn't looking at the ball and coming up off the ground.

2nd half handball was blatant and should've been penalty. player was moving his arms up and out, not towards his body. automatic red card where i come from.
