I hear ya.. some posters get flamed pretty tastelessly on this forum if they like trance. We always get trolls on here that don't necessary debate, but belittle other people (that's the internet for ya). Personally, I belittle tranceheads as a whole, not individually

That said, where people pay upwards of $100 a ticket for these gigs, it's their responsibility to tell promoters the genre of beats they prefer to dance to for the next party, and to let them know how much they liked or disliked the party they just went to. That's what this internet discussion forum is for (in my opinion).

Kinda lame.

I'll still check it out, but it's getting old.

Yet you are contributing.

Are you telling me this forum has to be nancy pancy all the time and we just love and respect eachothers' taste in music?

Why?

That wouldn't make for interesting debate, or discussion, sure it gets petty and immature sometimes, but what doesn't?

And of course someone will say, why be so serious, why debate "music"? Well why not? We listen to an extremely controversial kind of music that "most" people don't understand out of arrogance/ignorance.

You think old school rockers don't have opinions on "new school" punk rockers?

That Dr. Dre don't got beef wit Ja-rule or Sean Da Paul?

In perspective, given that some of these rap guys designate entire songs to swearing about another rapper's mommy, I think our debates on here are pretty civilized and less hostile, especially since most of us know each other and have fun together when we're out partying, despite everything.

The end.

that was Ja-Rule and fiddy

I get messed up like many others, but I don't go there for that, I listen to Electroniuc music more than 90% of you, because I like it (it keeps me relaxed and sane). I have a club in my basement not because I'm a drug addict but because I love to dance and have fun with friends and people I don't know. You just have no clue, I'm so addicted to music that I have to have it 24/7.

Wait, you have a club in your basement? What?

Also, you sound rather pretentious.

line up @ Resolution 08

I've asked the boss of Track, while at Beach Club, why Franco Fabi wasn't playing Sensation anymore. He answered that Franco has prefered Resolution 08...

So you can add Franco Fabi as confirmed for the 31st !!!

Last Saturday, at Circus, Franco didn't answer my curiosity, but made me a smile that said all...

So I think that confirmations are: Steve Lawler (I'm pretty much sure), Vibe (many people are sure of this) and... Franco Fabi !!!

Second sun is just pop music with trance beats-

nothing wrong with them and I enjoyed their performance at balenblanc as well but really, i don't think thats a great representation of what trance music is...

same could be said for infected mushroom/psytrance

Posted by jouxyz on Sep-10-2007 20:33:

but still....what we heard from them at Sundance was certainly not House music

rauhofer was decent i was going back and forth between second sun and him... sultan was good (only 1 hour though, was more like in between music than an actual set)

dubfire... was good... but that fucking intro... made the set difficult to enjoy...

i only got there at like 2 am so i cant vouch for much earlier in the night

but really... the room overall was just barely mediocre-

the trance fans however, got their pick. if you were a trance head in north america, balenblanc was the place to be

key word there is 'appreciate'...nowhere did i say i enjoyed it

i appreciate all kinds of music, only some very few genres i actually enjoy.

traffic is sick to hear at a rave and i still stand by that cuz of how everyone reacts to it...it makes for a high energy vibe, which is enjoyable at a massive (and i believe u took that quote from my review for celebration 2006 which was my 1st massive by the way)

and ya i love U2...not trance remixes of their songs, but U2 in general, ya, they fkn rock. so, of course i'm gonna LOVE hearing that vocal at midnight, no shit!

...

anyways i know this is all in good fun but ya, / on this encounter, buddy.

is that all u could find?

lol. Actually, Traffic was cool to hear, indeed, but with those tracks, the novelty of hearing it in a big room wears off super fast, I find. Your Lawler review was bang on.. not sure why I left it out

re BeB, Stephane Grondin owned that house room, imo .. I hope he gets a good slot at Resolution (if he's indeed booked) so everyone can see hear how decent he is.

ok relax...

look dude

you want hardcore impartial objective line ups and such things...at THIS time of year. ??????

you start a thread about NYE in september and all you'll get is speculation/tons of rumours in it, for sure. as well, u'll get people like me and spin () who argue aimlessly (ie: for entertainment) about music.

speculation and rumours get boringgggggg...

so we will take over the thread, until more solid backed up information surfaces about the event and we have something else to bitch ummmm i mean talk about...

so just chilllllllllllll man and remember, you are on the MTL forum of tranceaddict.

expect shit like this

Nobody fucking read my long ass post, fuck the world.

Also, GREG DOWNEY WILL COME REMIX YOUR FACE IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH STEREOHEAD, and if you need a preview of how bad your face will look after he's done with it, go on Beatport and check out his remix of Heaven Scent, ya, beware.

i think a Sean Tyas remix would do more damage

Posted by zeKsg on Sep-11-2007 03:06:

Sean Tyas tracks do sound the same, but he is good and I like his style of music(just not too much of it)
