i walked into orange room when i arrived being disappointed i was late for deadmau5, but the crowd was on lock and i was into it in no time.. the doppelwhipper remix and dark beat were my highlights. i watched cedric gervais for a bit, he was pretty good as well, during a breakdown he makes the most intense and serious "i-kill-babies" expression i've ever seen a dj make haha
i went to the drink to see steve aoki crowd surfing, jumping on the glass and shit, it was pretty intense! i think he was a little too smashed, as he knocked down his laptop causing a good 30 seconds of silence
he was nothing special when he was at TiL the other week (tried to mix in rock, but no one was feeling it), but this time he played some HAAAARD electro that i enjoyed too much.. so i didn't know whether i should have been surprised when i saw half of MSTRKRFT on the decks with him

ferry was pretty good each time i went to the koolhaus... early on he was playing some really punchy bassline stuff, then later on he went on to more epic and uplifting tracks... definitely made up for his short skybar set in june. my only complaint is there were SO MANY retards in that room who felt the need to scream the off-key melody or lyrics of whatever he was playing in my ear... or tap my shoulder just to shine a glowstick thing in my face then laugh... jesus.
but like everyone else was saying, carl cox... WOW... like damn this guy is on another level, he never lost the crowd at all... he gets you jumping to some hard techno... then when you need some rest he plays something a little melodic or housey, then BOOM.. a catchy techno bassline gets mixed in and you're bouncing off the wall again.. definitely exceeded my expecations by far and made my night! and his cockney shenanegans on the mic were entertaining to say the least
and yea it was amazing to see how it wasn't very packed at all.. thank circa indeed. and as always good to see so many of you guys out, especially those i hadnt seen for several months

i dont really post in here much more often since i have been away from the scene for a bit
but i made my trek down from windsor to see this even, and im really glad i did
first off, i was impressed how fast the line up outside moved...came around 11 and got in within 15 min
the music was amazing all night, this is by far the best event ive attended
corstens set was unbeliveable, ive seen him live 3 times and this by far was the best
in the orange room cedric gervais was dropping some sweet beats, very impressed
then went to the drink where steve aoki was tearing it up, i was shocked with the amount of energy in that room
didnt really get a chance to enjoy carl cox , but im sure it was amazing
thats about it..
Great party....
My friends got there at 10:30 and was surprised that tickets were $45 even when we had bought our early bird tix for $40 weeks ago
...Well I realized later in the night that they were cheap STILL because it SURE as hell wasn't as rammed as I thought it should have been...I can probably thank CIRCA for that which was fine with me
...We were left with LOTS of room to move into each venue AND room to dance
...All the rooms were putting out great tunes but I was having the most fun in the Koolhaus...Ferry was dropping alot of my faves and I couldn't help but dance most of the night...
Good times the whole night
came in around 11 with orko. there was barely any lineup and when we got inside, the place was pretty empty. we checked out deadmau5 who was dropping some dirty tunes. but it wasn't really my style so i went back into the KH to get warmed up for ferry. mark oliver was doing a great job i thought of playing a warm up set. i was gonna stay in the KH for 8 hours, so i thought i'd get comfortable.
ferry comes on and starts with some nice prog to start the night. really builds it up and around 1 or so starts to drop some more energy tunes. hits 3 or 3.30 and he starts playing some epic/uplifting trance for about 2/2.5 hours. around 6ish he plays some harder bassline stuff and closes off with more great tunes. overall i thought his programming was really well done. really built up well with a lot of energy throughout the night.
didn't leave the KH for 8 hours and i must say this was one of the best nights i've attended. the only minus was that the bass was really really bad in the KH. at some points i could barely hear the highs.
pics from the night. vids will be uploaded shortly.

how was scumfrog..??????
Lmao, just got home, at 7pm.
Excellent time. When at 7:20 Carl finished and everyone started leaving, I still wanted a bit more. Went to the coatcheck, it was empty, and people said to go to KH coatcheck, as Ferry was playing till 8am. Sweetest words I have ever heard. Gotta keep the party going right?
I think this describes the night well.
what a dirty ****** str8 up
