RiCo - you're bassline seems to have disappeared. Too bad. Thanks anyways. (Of course, if you still have it and you could post it up again that would be nice).

Posted by RiCo on May-24-2004 23:03:

I deleted it. I'll upload it again.

This topic is een absolute eye-opener...Since I'm pretty much a newbie on producing, this is very helpfull! Thanks guys!

Can't we also start a topic like this for percussion? Layering hats voor example. There's some patterns as well I reckon!

I can't find my basslines in my computer or laptop. I'll have to somehow recreate them again (if I remember the melody)

Unhappy

Can somebody tell me please how to create a bassline with a good drive in it,or a rolling bassline so that the track speeds up, i really suck at that' everytime i have a nice melody,but then i can't go on because i can't get that bassline with a good drive in it,very frustrating ! Somebody got a few nice tips for me ?

I use the pro 53, is that wrong for creating basslines ?
And how about using effects for basslines ?

I'm really stuck at this point !

Posted by Tom_cowan on Jun-17-2004 13:48:

vanguard has some good presets for rolling basslines, try that.

Posted by Reeverb on Jun-17-2004 14:45:

--B--B-B--B--B-B - Midbass
--B---B---B---B- - Subbass

I guess my favorite bassline would have to be:

Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Armin Van Buuren Remix)

there is something about arpeggiated basslines. Dust Wave sounds cool too.

Posted by azndragon0613 on Dec-29-2004 07:42:

ey guys i was wonderign if anyone figured out the quest - c-sharp bassline? i know there is a low oompa bass but what lies on top? i can't figure otu the rhythm

mind circles is crazy as hell too eh?

Posted by State of Matter on Dec-29-2004 08:37:

Most secondary basslines have a delay of some sort on them anyways so its almost impossible to distinguish the rhythm. They're not hard to make at all really, if you put the correct amount of delay the rhythm will seem more complex than it is.

Posted by Bruchpilot on Dec-29-2004 10:47:

at the momment I use this bassline:

l=lowbass
m=mid-bass
h=highbass (with lots of delay)
k---k---k---k---
--hh--hh--hh--hh
-mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm
--l---l---l---l-

Posted by Andy Sevil on Mar-12-2005 17:39:

wats the bassline settings for Fred Baker - confirmation? and does it have a number of these basslines put over each other as it builds up (with different patches?) or is it a bit more complex than that?

thanks

and i love this thread!

Actually, that bassline isn't that complicated.

Just use alot of ping-pong - delay on it.

I tryed to make something like the C-sharp bassline(s).
Here you can listen to it: http://www.lnctv.com/~a41154a/sampl...-%20C-sharp.mp3
