Bill Burr. The guy gets heckled by a crowd in Philadelphia, gets pissed off, and insults them thoroughly for the rest of his act.

Really surprised no one mentioned Louis CK yet. His last special floored me. He had a joke about rating how bad a person you were by how long you waited after 9/11 to masturbate. "Me, I rubbed one out between the two towers falling".
As for Dane Cook, I think it's not that he's funny, but you have to admit that he's very good at delivery, and people respond more to that than his actual jokes. If you read his material, its nothing

Louis CK is amazing. easily one of my favorite comedians. He can somehow act like he hates everything and yet make people laugh from it.

Love that guy. I like Frankie Boyle at the moment, but his stand-up routines aren't really suited to stand-up, they're more for topical quiz shows and such. Really harsh one-liners.

Another few :

Billy Connolly
Ross Noble

his picture was on the wall @ Gotham Comedy CLub - saw it last night when I went for Steve Byrne.

Also - one of the writers from Chapelle Show was opening for Byrne - HILARIOUS! He came up with a new racism sketch for the show. Hysterical.

SOmething like - the white people's faces on the last day of slavery

Yeah, that first one was from his New York gig in 2005, but his first ever US gig was a HBO special hosted by Whoopi Goldberg back in 1990. You should be able to find it on youtube. It's one of the classic stand-up routines.

I was a little disappointed with his material over the past 6-7 years. He's gown downhill in my opinion.

Yesss!! Your right, a small clip of that is on one of his dvd's, its people talking about billy like parkinson etc, I can vaguely remember it, Just remember Whoopi saying please give a warm welcome to a good friend of mine etc etc.

Youtube dont have it, I thought that was it, when you type in 1990 hbo special thats all that comes up, anyway
