The "authority" they've allegedly contacted is nothing more than an intelligence database the FBI uses - unless someone can find the "missing persons" part of the NCIC web page...

PURPOSE: The purpose for maintaining the NCIC system is to provide a computerized database for ready access by a criminal justice agency making an inquiry and for prompt disclosure of information in the system from other criminal justice agencies about crimes and criminals. That's on the front page... but it doesn't seem to have a link to a list of all the missing persons.

I had seen that - but all it says is that it's a database for storing and accessing information, not that the NCIC itself is actually actively searching for missing persons.

And as far as the kind of person I am, the only thing I think anyone reading this thread could logically deduce is that I am the kind of person who likes to see the justice system at work - certainly not one who supports slander, libel, or internet defamation campaigns based on nothing more than an individuals word.
