what a fantastic night! Ronski delivered and Taj was sick with all those oldschool hits.

Ronski did a great set with the uplifting/electro mix, but i agree he had some overdone cheesy tracks (esp. anthem, thats been killed to the maxx) but its forgivable. track of the night: Ilya Soloviev - Sunwaves!!!

And Taj with the classics omg, my first time i got to hear Veracocha - Carte Blanche live, always wanted to hear that track.

It was a great night kickin it with ppl and enjoying good music!

I think her voice is really annoying. I'll try to give it another chance.

Hehe, it's funny. I thought the same thing. But the track (mainly the a&n remix and another remix I can't remember off the top of my head) has slowly grown on me. I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites, but think it can fit nicely into any set and def a good crowd pleaser.

Sometimes tracks are like that. On their own they are lacking but if you slap them in the right part of the set, it for some reason becomes more appealing, lol.

Most know I'm not a huge fan of vocal trance...but this one certianly isn't nearly with the worst of them, IMO, hehe.

This track hit harder than I thought it would from where I was in the dj booth. Sounded real nice playing at 132bpm.

Every time you come to our gigs I can promise you that I'll play 1 track you request. Too bad I couldn't get Hawk - Need For Cognition at the end.

You're spot on here Dave. V-Man told me that Big Sky was going to be a big hit. I think it is. The A&N drive is really catchy. I just think JOC could have chose a better vocalist.

I wish I had video of my group of friends singing their hearts out to this track. That's when I thought, maybe this track isn't so bad.

Are you really? I thought you guys were the same height.

Next we have to see who's taller. Menno de Jong or T-Dizzle?

Its probably best that you dont have a video of that moment. A bunch of drunk people singing off key is never a pretty sight lol

There is video flying around somewhere of me singing The Space We Are (when it first came out) JOC remix. Embarassing stuff! And VJ don't even dare show what you have.

For some reason the tracks we initially dig, sound just that much more LUSH when played LIVE. I was feeding of your energy when you dropped it mangz.

P.S. You're a champ for playing my requests

Nice work man! Fun night once again

Posted by spinvinyl on Jan-15-2008 03:29:

I had a great time out for Ronksi. Lexxx and Skwallie did a nice job of opening. I hadn't seen Ronksi in several years and he definitely delivered the beats. It was cool that he played for so long, I kind of expected only 2 hours but he was closer to 3 I believe. Taj your set was great, I haven't heard that many classics in a long time, definitely brought back some memories. I actually lasted a bit longer than normal, I swear I'm gonna make it to the Endup one of these days. I see it as endurance training for WMC I was gonna comment about the highs being too high but I see you already got it covered in the PVD thread, good job.

fun night! good stuff skwallie and lexxx... and yeah, one hour was just too short for each of you. ronski did indeed tear it up! then just when my body was getting a bit tired (starting so early in the evening threw my pacing off) and with ronski slowing it down a bit at the end (or so it seemed), taj going on was 3 red bulls worth of energy for me.

PICS HERE (oh, and the blue backdrop makes photos so much more colorful than when it's red all night):

More words when I can type.

Thank you again to everyone for making this weekend one of my best bday weekends ever.

Though the vocals could be better... you really have to give that song some credit... quality driving bass and an epic tune thrown in the middle of a set....

My favorite video (which I will not post right here at your request) is the one where you're totally enjoying yourself and you think I'm taking your picture when I say....
"It's video..."
and you say... "NO! NO VIDEO!!!"

I think it was Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah (Victor Rusin Bootleg)?
Was this it Frankie? I think it was, just a little higher up on the BPM?
