I almost started crying the night before we left. We were sitting in an Italian restaurant, the Dominican men singing a beautiful song to us, and I was thinking about how I would have to leave such an awesome place and come back to Canada.

I enjoyed the Dominican better than I enjoyed Mexico.

The thought of moving to a place like that and becoming a tour operator went through my head many times. I mean, why not? Even if it is only temporary.

bas will hate me for this.

southern california has great weather.

yes, there are elections coming, also, that church, fgs it is really big and theres a lot of people who go from every part of the country ON FOOT because they think the virgin is giving them a miracle.

Im really glad you had fun, sad we couldnt meet (im still expecting the bikini pics /jennypie)

Also, even tho Punta Cana is the biggest tourist destination of the country, the city capital (Higuey) is in really really bad conditions.

Start planning for next year, im taking you to the capital and then we can go to a cabaa (alex si traduces eso considerate muerto)

and its spelled "dice" not disey

fgs?
(alex si traduces eso considerate muerto)????

I was pretty much the controller of the camera the entire trip, so I never got any photos of me in my bikini. I didn't really think "hmm, I am half naked, I should get someone to take a picture of me".

Sorry to disappoint.

I wouldn't say Higuey is really meant for tourists. It seemed like a genuine Dominican city to me, not something touristy at all.

Am I staying at your house?

fgs=for gods sake

alex if you translate that consider yourself dead

Also, about higuey, yes its a typical dominican city, but the goverment should really increase spending overthere, sadly once you are out of Santo Domingo (and in a lesser scale) Santiago, everything is trees and mountains and animals and cooked dogs markets

Translate cabano? Isn't that a cabin?

Why is it sad that it's all trees and mountains? I think that's great.

Is he the one who goes by the purple colour? Because when I was in Higuey, the people were holding purple flags.

Yea it's nice to look at when it is untouched and in an already beautiful place... but when you live in a city and there is dirty snow all over the place, piled up about 20 feet high, it isn't that pretty anymore.

P.S. Keep your crap snow pictures out of my thread damnit

And I'm sorry if I insulted you. The DR is one of my favorite places on Earth, its a great country no matter what the numbers say.
