Totally worth the extra.

i wonder if theres VIP for the hardcore stage hahaha

I highly doubt it and in addition the stage access is usually a separate stage at the side.

Wish C.Lawrence would play (I missed last year) but otherwise pretty good lineup.

I bought a GA ticket at the ticket master in Save-Mart on Saturday (first day tickets to go on sale) and the total came out to $53.50. The convenience charge was $8.50.

He paid 60 bucks for his 45 dollar ticket. You saved 10 dollars, lol.

I tried to get my 45 dollar ticket at skills on saturday but when I got there at 3pm they were sold out!

I was there in the afternoon on Saturday too and had to pay that dam $60... How many $45 ($50) tickets did they have to sell before they raised the prices? 20?? and how many $55 ($60) tickets will they sell before they raise the price again?

I hope the production value is on par with this... A DJ intro for every Mainstage DJ was a nice touch... Those long ceiling lights that go all the way down are pretty ingenius...

Hey V Man27... How funny you should post that video of all videos to demonstrate the quality of the production your looking for.. I was at that party! Trance Energy 2008... What an amazing show, I can tell you, the production won't even come close, now that's not dissing Skills in any way, they throw a great party, but ID&T, gajebus.. I mean seriously.. they sold that party out at 30,000 people a month before. That's what I call insane..

Yes, I'm defiantly looking forward to the line-up.. I do wish Skills would bring in some new blood, though, Like Talla 2XLC, Sean Tyas, Alex M.O.R.P.H., I can go on for days..

You went to Trance Energy?!? You are incredibly lucky.... who had the best set of the night?

One can wish for production like that... I know Skills does not have the funding of ID&T, but they should have a good set up....
I forgot how the Cow Palace looks inside though, it's been years since I've been there for... Cyberfest 2003

And I missed out on "Once in a Blue Moon" in 2002.... fuckin A....

From what I've gathered in my years of handling productions myself, renting equipment and staff cost overseas is MUCH CHEAPER than in the US. In the US, you are forced with unions and real, real expensive rentals (which usually have to go through specific channels, too)....

It's not a matter of whether or not organizers here would love to be able to do productions like you see in Europe, IMO, just the costs of doing it here is ludicrous and it simply can't be afforded.

And there are just some laws here...like you simply cannot use lasers in any manner that you like because of laws that consider their useage "unsafe" in a lot of ways.

Correct and in relation to that, they have it a lot easier over there when it comes to getting sponsorship. Actually more so companies / corporations are more supportive of electronic dance music events.

Yea, This was my second year going. I went in 2007 too. It's absolutley amazing, it reminds me of the 85th and Baldwin parties like Area 51 that went off in the late 90's in Oakland, but add a million dollars to your lightshow budget. Seriously though.. for a 35 EUR ticket, it's worth the plane ride over there... and we had a huge Trance Addict meetup to boot...

yea I was at Cyberfest 2003 and Once in a Blue Moon- Oakenfold, Sasha & Digweed, Chemical Brothers, if my memory serves me correct.. it was a pretty decent show from what I remember..

Best set of the night for me at Trance Energy 2008 is a toss up, but if I had to put it in order it would be Alex M.O.R.P.H., Ferry Corsten, Sean Tyas, Tiesto, then of course Rank One..
