Every year I have gone to Space (four years) on this night PVD has come on around 1 and was still on the decks at 7.

and how long do you expect 40 plus djs at one venue to be able to spin for?

PVD has never played that short a set @ Space for WMC, always 4 hours or more. Even the start time seems off, as he always goes on by 1 a.m. during WMC, and there is not even an announced opener yet. So he should be starting earlier if anything

Edgar is a regular when comes to opening for PVD.

So I wouldn't doubt it if Edgar was to open.

but the line up is strong on all counts, at least you're getting your money's worth with am only. I'd imagine each dj will play for a couple of hours but pretty much every dj on the line up for each genre is a big name.

That sounds about right.

Perry O'neil needs to just stick with his Patch Park alias. his Patch parks tracks as of late have been stellar. His remix of Mandala and his Maverick Track are fucking great.

Negative sir..

I'll be at FSOB @ Area 51.

It does say it on his myspace but the cost is not updated either. I dunno, last time he was at space in november it was indeed a 3 hour set. The shortest ever at space. Before that WMC was 4 hours. The last time he played a long set at space was WMC 2004 and it was 5 1/2 hours. I would know, I havent missed a pvd at space show since late 2002

Just a heads up, I got some inside scoup from some folks at Wantickets.com and this show is about to sell out. If you're on the fencepost about going, I'd highly suggest buying a ticket immediately. It'll be an easy ticket to sell if you don't end up going to it.

wooo we'll be there!

SPACE Terrace (Question)

What time should you leave the main room to be able to get to the terrace? Do you still have to wait in a long line?

All depends on how many people are up there & if Fire Marshall are allowing people up there.

You cant compare a guy who has played one time on the terrace to mixed reviews playing tracks that I've heard 100 times already. To Sander a "DJ" who has spun "LEGENDARY MARATHONS" every WMC.

Prydz is a great producer.

Sander is a great DJ.

No comparison....

SANDER ON THE TERRACE FOR WMC IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS.I have not missed this party since it was at the old Space and it is every year one of the highlights of WMC for everyone who attends.Sander brings the dirtiest shit for WMC and very new innovative sounds. You will see the reviews and they will speak for themselves.

SANDER + LA TERREZA=DOMINANCE!!!!

Trust me.....

REMEMBER THIS IS MIA-AM-AM-MI-MI-MI-MI-MI-MI-MI-MI-MI!!!!!!!!!!!

FTR!!!

Not true man.. Prydz is a fantastic DJ as well. I saw Sander in DC and then Prydz a few weeks later.. Prydz was better in my opinion

Not to say that Sander wont own the terrace though cus he will.. he also has the advantage of playing a sunrise set though which eric doesnt

imo sander is by far the better dj of the two, although prydz's productions are as good as any out there. The thing i dislike about prydz is the way he likes to play mostly his productions, or ast least that is what it seems like from the sets i have listened to, and that is all that he played the last time he was at space.

Posted by rudeflame on Mar-20-2008 13:08:

What makes Sander K so special is he will play songs that have not been played yet...he has access to some quality tracks that other DJs will not...Prydz may unload some of his own productions on the Terrace but the amount of new stuff that will be played with Sander makes his night a little bit more interesting...

I too saw SK & Prydz in DC and while I loved both...Eric played tracks that had been around for 6 months to a year...Especially since he is a part of SHM, he was playing tracks that Angello/Ingrosso/Axwell had been playing months prior...his set didnt play anything i hadnt heard, nothing unique...

aside from that they are both really good djs....but as for track selection SK > Prydz at conference

The room that appeals most to me (room 2) has 8 dj's playing from 10pm-12 the following day - you do that math

PVD has now sold out anyway.

Posted by Ripp on Mar-20-2008 13:53:

For the people like me who go to Space for sander is just a vibe.. a feeling and the knowledge that something great is going to happen. Like the first time he dropped " THis is Miami" or last year when some drunk guy crawled under the dj booth knocked out the power and Sander just played it up with him and the place was cracking up.

If you love sander and the music/vibe/feeling he brings then this is the culmination of everything great about dance music and what you love about it. If sander is not one of your favs. then you can't have this bias that some of us have.

So to me the terrace with Sander is a combination of my crew being together, the music I love bring played, a DJ who i greatly admire and the knowledge that moments like this are only going to happen for me once a year...and that is why i enjoy it so much.
