haha wow everyone hates nascar. i went to one race just for giggles and it wasn't as boring as it seems

I think what you are missing is that nobody really gives a shit about the race, everyone is just there to drink. You can even take your own case of beer inside(limit one case per person), although I'd say at least half of the people don't even go in, but remain in the parking lot drinking. The race is just an excuse to tailgate in the summer.

Also when theres a crash, it literally feels like the apocolypse, especially if you are 19 beers in.

I was skipping high school with my g/f at the time and the racetrack was only like 5 minutes from my house and nascar was at the stadium that day so I was like lets go skip over there. I didnt care about the race cause all I remember about it is making out with my girl in the seats, vroom vroom!

as for now, not even my countryman Juan Pablo Montoya (who I followed with great pride in Indy car and F1) can get me into nascar

What a pointless sport and sporting event to attend. Personally I have never attended a actual race, but I don't see how anyone can sit on there butt for five hours and enjoy watching 20+ cars go around in circles. Hate hearing about it and seeing people with Nascar numbers on there car. Especially those rednecks who decide they are nascar drivers like their hero's and decide to drive around like idiots.

my company sponsors nascar. i don't see the correlation, but they keep spending money on it
