I also agree that the crowd was very different, but I liked it!

the lasers are sick ya...but their fuking blinding man! you cant look straight up even at the dj booth. its too directional or intense or i dunno what, but definitely not like the previous ones. i swear it felt just like those pen lasers in the eye

He actually played it once and later on he dropped 00.db-Ark which sounds very much like Sea Song in the intro of it. You can check out the samples to it on the front of his website.

Man, I really can't believe this night happened. What a friggin journey .

Glad to hear j00f is amazing as always. His set at wemf 2004 changed my life by completely alternating and elevating the way I look at music. His mixing is retarted and his sets keep such a consistent flow. Easily the best "trance" dj around.

Here's why ...........(a piece taken from J00F's site)
======================================
What am I going to play tonight?

This is a common question I get asked when I get to an event or club. To be honest, I never know until I get there. Every DJ works in their own way, some guys like to pre-plan their sets while others, like me, access the current situation of the dance floor. I dont think its a good idea to pre-plans sets because you have no idea how the DJ will be playing before you. He could be playing as hard as nails, so then you need to play music accordingly to wine down the tempo so that you can get to where you need to be musically. If you pre-programme your set starting pretty slow and deep, youll kill the atmosphere of the night taking over from the guy whos just been thrashing it out, and Ive seen this happen many times.
Every club and every situation will be different as I tour around the world. Some nights will peak earlier than others, this all depends on licensing laws and this dictates what time people come out and go home. Some territories like music a little deeper, while others want all the candy thrown at them. It takes the skill of a good DJ to feel these vibes from the dance floor and then play accordingly to them. I like to get to a club/festival a good half an our before I play, then I go into work mode watching the dance floor and seeing how they react to the music the DJ is playing to them. I often feel bad when people want to come over and chat, I always (if I can ) hide myself somewhere so I can start concentrating on the job in hand. They have no idea Im already working, so sorry if I come across unsociable. ;0)
Within the first hour I pretty much know how to handle the crowd in front of me, I have a very good idea of what is working and what didnt! This is why I hate short sets, especially one hour to one and a half. Ive only just got to know everyone in front of me, and then its all over. Often my first time playing at a new club or territory, its a learning curve getting to know them and after I cant wait to go back as I know exactly what to throw at them the next time. Im lucky in as Im in a position where most people will know what music I will play to them as they hear my radio shows or productions, so this makes life a little easier for me. But for new DJs reading this, Id give the advice to not pre-plan sets, instead spend the time learning your music. This is your tool to enable you to take the dance floor; up, down, sideways and every direction you want, then you know exactly what section of your CD wallet to head for when you need to control the dance floor.

Haha, I saw him doing this, and took a pic. Very professional! He wanted to be up there and get a feel, but didn't want to steal any of Cosmic Gate's thunder, so he tried to hide.

Yeah Markus Schulz did the same thing when Blake Jarrell was here a few weeks ago.

I wouldn't doubt it. Schulz showed pure class that night.

Is it just me or has trance been really good for the last few months?
