here's my picks, all released past couple days or so, not avail digital yet:

Those are all pretty good records, but you're freakin nuts if you don't like the other radio slave. It's all nice housey stuff which is where everything is going.

well, part 4 track 1 ... that piano stab over and over through the whole song? hard to tell from sample. if its through the whole song, that will make me jump off the roof of whatever hotel party im at.

those 2 rekids are *very* housey except for 4-2. and PRETTY GOOD?!?! my picks wipes yours all over the place

not sure if everything is going housey. its been going housey since 06, look at all the neotrance or prog minimal out the past year+. i think its going to go back to dark again like that jens zimmermann i pointed out. i remember back in late 06 i got tired of the clicks and looked for housey minimal, and finding something like those rekids back then would have got me excited, but now they seem to be 90% of minimal releases and me and everyone misses the more simple stuff.

Arnej has a lot of new stuff.
Steve Porter will have a lot of fun stuff for WMC.
Steve Bug will have a lot of ID's on the Tikki.
So will S.O.S.

And I am sure the Yoshi crew will have another gay 80's remix pop out in the middle of the week. This will also become the worst heard remix by Sunday, and you will start hearing it at Denny's or Rustica, that's how fast it gets around down there lol..
So pretty much you have no idea what will be hot for WMC.. ok thanks!

Posted by treefermadness on Mar-18-2008 03:21:

seriously people i have no clue what will be big at wmc, and neither does anyone else, every year there is this thread, and every year the people attending are what makes a track big, if it goes well the first couple times its dropped you can bet it will get around, and based by the hugely mixed answers in this thread as to what will be big, all i can see is wait to find out. Yes there will be shit played out over and over that is pure cheese, there will be good solid bombs played all weekend and there will invariably be that one track you will never id that blew you away.

but on the other hand it sure is fun guessing

Posted by llavoe on Mar-18-2008 05:12:

Treefer is right in saying that big tracks are made on the spot really. When I refer to these parties having big tracks, they will all be deemed a big track from the response at that party. I don't call a track being out for a few months that someone heard at a club in their town a week ago being a big track in Miami.

Booka Shade just had "Planetary" release, but they have a bunch of stuff they have been touring with for the last year that are all original unreleased bombs that nobody has really heard yet.

SOS will have some amazing productions in their mixes at both Pawn Shop and on the Tikki. People are still trying to ID stuff on youtube from their set at Nocturnal last year.

I almost forgot Sultan, Ned, and Maher (SNM) will have a bunch of stuff that will be released in the future on Harem for sure.

everyone is going to be playing Sia-the girl you lost to cocaine (SVD Remix) and Eric Prydz-Pjano and Europa def. two of the biggest songs. Also probably hear a track with a George Bush sample saying "Drugs, everyday drugs, everynight drugs" cant think of the damn name right now!!!!

So now that we're a couple days in - what is everyone hearing?

Posted by mar46017 on Mar-31-2008 12:56:

I have a couple stuck in my head now, just can't really spell em out.

But can someone ID the song David Guetta played on the terrace a couple times.

The song has all the sweet house DJ's names in the song.

There is only a few tracks I heard several times that I can ID..

Black Daniel - Give it what you got (Alex Metric Mix)
Hyper - Computer says no
STA - In living colour

Aside from those.. Micheal Jackson - Thriller Mixes were everywhere.. Which was pretty annoying..

Posted by raven848 on Mar-31-2008 17:09:

yeah I heard a few Thriller mixes. They just keep coming out. Sure, some of them sound good but they are just... annoying/cheesy. I know the Laidback Luke one is decent (I think thats what Sydney Blu dropped) but just kinda played out.

George Morel - Lets Take Drugs (heard this a few times)
Buy Now - Bodycrash (heard this everywhere)
Pnau - Baby (Sam La More remix)
Kylie Minogue - Wow (MSTRKRFT remix) (i think I heard this at every pool party I went to)

What the Fuck- Funkadelic

Riff- Sander Van Doorn

I'm sure I'll think of more...

Posted by llavoe on Mar-31-2008 17:50:

Sharam - Stay Gold

Sultan and Ned Feat Zara - Let's get physical

Harem 003 - Tomorrow never dies

Sasha played a thom yorke - eraser remix that I would guess will appear on Involver 2

John Digweed played a massive rolling stones - "You can't always get what you want" remix that got huge reactions

Sander K played an awesome "rocket man" remix

was it a remix or the Eraser vocals on top of something else? at Hyde Park he played them on top of a track and it was great.
