I'll check it out this weekend most likely. What night are you playing Louis?

Posted by FunKenLouis on Apr-03-2008 01:15:

Saturday Mofo

I love playing there

Lots of fromage... but fun times garanteed

Posted by Sean Walsh on Apr-04-2008 20:01:

The set I played in Vancouver was pure fromage too, so no worries, I have a soft spot for it =P

I'll be checking it out.

This place is fucking awesome. Beautiful club, sick sound system, truly state of the art.

Nice mainstream set by Louis, really good flow and was happy to hear you sneaking in some proper techno here and there

Quick review of my first time at LaMouche last night.

Venue: Very nice, spacious..tons of room to dance.

Sound system: Awesomeness. The clarity of the sound is amazing. What was coming out of that sound system, though..is another story.

Music: Suckfest. But I knew that going in..I just really wanted to check out the new place that was once ARIA, and that's the reason why I went.
Props though to Louis for playing "the best of the worst" commercial shit, and for dropping some good Techy, Housey tunes here and there..those were like a breath of much needed oxygen.

Crowd: Y'en avait de toutes les sauces: beautiful creatures, unattractive ones, losers, classy people, insufferable posers, 16 year-old-sluts-to-be, the guys that buy them their drinks..you get the idea.

Good times all around.

Posted by zoogla on Apr-13-2008 21:41:

lol glad to see you had a good time! did you check out the automatic drink machine thingy?

from everyones reviews and thoughts on it i have gathered that: all the place needs is some good underground music and it would be prime?

Posted by Sean Walsh on Apr-14-2008 05:12:

It'd be dope if they did a wednesday or something that focused on underground. The place is pretty big and posh though, so it would be hard to make a weeknight work there for anything less than mainstream. Maybe a monthly? The place is beautiful so it'd be pretty awesome if they could pull something off.

Posted by malek on Apr-14-2008 05:31:

sundays with guest dj would be crazy.

its a crazy big room with awesome sound and setup.

sounds like it to me too (but let's wait and see what underground names they'll be bringing; that term 'underground' is so damn subjective, means something different for every person on this forum)

but (in response to malek) wouldn't sundays be a bad idea for lamouche? isn't opera still pumping hard on sundays? like, they have a crowd that goes there relatively religiously...heavy competition in my eyes.

Posted by malek on Apr-14-2008 14:32:

I'm just throwing ideas around.

JFL clearly said, the club is for rent any other day but saturday and friday.

And lets not kid ourselves, its a free market, Lamouche as a buisness is in competition with everyone else, including Opera.

p.s. underground means anything not top40, don't start with your these djs are crap bla bla, tous les gouts sont dans la nature.
