A) 3 raves out of 5 cancelled:
1) Freaky 2001 took place @ Sona (same thing as cancelled!!)
2) Connected 2002 was cancelled
3) Oasis 2002 was cancelled

B) Almost no guest DJs in May, June, and July

C) Aria is getting almost all guest DJs

It's Coming...

eheheh
Hey Happy, why are you promoting 514 when it's even not 514 who organize their party, it's House of Blues (some rock & Roll grandfather)!!

Posted by fastmp3 on Jul-11-2002 01:38:

Posted by delstar on Jul-11-2002 04:08:

now that dark man x has figured out how to use the bulletin board, we can go back to our daily live

even though i go to all the 514 parties...their last 5 have been sketchy
freaky 2001 ...sona... = cancelled
celebration 2002...always a good party... although,david morales 5 hours? miss b at 10 am
connected 2002..cancelled
swirl 2002..half the size as the 2000 party in cepsum..awesome lineup
oasis 2002...cancelled...im so pissed

im sure cream will be fuckin awesome as it was last year...it has been kind of weird if u look at their history though..forza was cool, but they turned an aria night into a party...armin, ferry, rank1, johan, marco v are all awesome and will have their own solo parties in north americain the next 2-3 years.....the scene started to explode with oakie, then tiesto...then armin

ugh solo parties!!.. why dont you go to a concert that starts at 9pm while you're at it???

serious, they MUST bring back the Swirl 2001 lineup that never happend (or Cream 2001) .. no fillers, no MSGs, just QUALITY and **VARIETY!!** all night. seriously.. that's what makes a good party, no warmup DJs that take up half the night (ppl, midnight to 3am is still PRIME partying time..) , and no EJ's (XL) in the morning.. all that is bullshit and I dont like bullshit

Celebration sucked if it wasn't for MB. and it was XL who destroyed the crowd playing for 6 (!!!) hours...

It depends on the type of music that you like.. I actually enjoyed David Morales (he was fantastic! nothing too fancy, but got me to smile during his whole set!) and XL's set.. But, then again, that's me.

indeed, I also enjoyed the set, there was nothing not to like about it, it was a solid house set, if you like electronic music, you dont detest house, so it should of been bearable for most.. (besides, why go if you knew you would of had a shitty time)..

Posted by moose1111 on Jul-11-2002 15:28:

I actually though that technically speaking, David was incredible..
I just can

Posted by Biggy on Jul-11-2002 15:39:

I am not gonna start to talk about David because this will be a disaster.
I think he play really commercial music and I don't like him!

I know 100 house dj way better than him!

Posted by moose1111 on Jul-11-2002 15:56:

I agree that he is commercial.. That is why he is not among my favorite DJs.. but for some reason, I enjoyed his set. He did some great technical things, he is actually fun to watch (a great showman), and I felt like listening to club and house anthems that night and he gave it to us. So I wasnt dissapointed!!!

Plus it was NYE.. It is hard to big a HUGE DJ with our weak dollar and us being in Montreal...

Posted by DJHappy on Jul-11-2002 16:22:

If you where expecting to hear Trance it s normal to be dissapointed from David performance, Personaly I hate his style not to mention the deep dish experience at the Bal, but hey there is people who likes this kind of music and it's all about respect.

Posted by Biggy on Jul-11-2002 16:25:

I know some commercial DJ's better than David like Erick Morillo. He play commercial for real, but it's good 2 times a year to hear him.

Posted by moose1111 on Jul-11-2002 16:38:

Biggy: I have to say.. Morales can not be compared to Morillo.. il lui arrive meme pas a la cheville..

Cream 2001, what a party, and what a lineup that was! I think musicaly that was one of the best parties, difersive and a bit of everything for everyone.

sorry but calling David a showman is ridiculous.
not to mention mixing shirtless (has nothing to do with it but adds to it)
6 hours of torture atelebration was not fair, and XL even added his 4hours set, its was lame. I dont think anyone would pay that amount if it wasn't for NYE.And u know exactly why barbara wouldn't play for 514 anymore after that event.
my 2 cents..

Posted by moose1111 on Jul-11-2002 18:13:

Zing.. It is a question of taste.
I can understand that you didn't like XL and Morales.. but bear in mind that many people like them and actually don't like Miss B. For exemple, in my case, at Bal en Blanc (if accoustics were right), I would have prefered Deep Dish over PVD... and was actually going there for Deep Dish and not PVD.. but accoustics completely destroyed Deep Dish's set, which needs ideal accoustics to me enjoyed.
