I'm PRETTTTY sure he got pretty (relatively) famous before the Deadrat6 thing. He's been consistently putting out tunes, remixes, and hits on some of the biggest labels in the trance scene. His radio show pulls in, tops, 1000 listeners. That's the amount of plays Deadmau5 gets in an hour on his Myspace. Someone at that level just needs to let the music do the talking. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in saying it was his management and not him, but his management shoulda known the situation would blow up like this, c'mon.

. actually. my management kinda thought it awkward that they'd have the "deadrat6" and myself in the same room... its not like i petitioned it... just following orders.

can't he tell his management to pull their heads in? After all, he shouldn't be following orders from them, he should have the final say on what they do, 'following orders' my arse. You can't honestly tell me that his management never told him what they were doing, thats a complete cop out.

This deadmaus guy seems like a bit of wanker who's gotten too big too quickly, forgotten how to take a joke and has way too big of an opinion of himself (and his management likewise). Ok Schossow maybe took the joke a little far, but if deadmaus was half a man he'd take it as the joke it was and move on. I don't care what the Canadians ar going to say, i think this story shows his lack of professionalism much more than what you think of him socially.

Bullshit. That type of fodder might work at a place such as T.Nu, but not here. You can tell your management to fuck off if you think it's that big of a deal. Please, spare me.

This happends all the time, it all comes to the musicstyles.
What you are saying is that Fedde le Grand should be mad at ID&T for putting him on an early slot during Sensation White 2007.
Nothing is confirmed either on who was to play when.

Statement was out on www.underthesun.no last night but no answer on what actually happend, think the managements will release something.

Posted by KrissO on Apr-06-2008 14:43:

Okey whoever just made a post after cre8or just deleted it.
You were defending deadmau5 and basically said that we were all way out of line. Too bad I refreshed so I can't quote your post.

Why would you delete your post?

I see. If it was indeed the case though, deadmau5 should've just played an awesome set and called it a night.

what a thread of epic proportions... hahaha, i didnt actively do anything... actually. my management kinda thought it awkward that they'd have the "deadrat6" and myself in the same room... its not like i petitioned it... just following orders.

im over the whole d6 stuff, had a laugh, jokes over, lets move on.

im sure marcus is a swell chap, and his tunes stand on their own quite well, bit of a bummer things have to "leak out" like this from time to time... ah well, we all have our moments.

life goes on for both of us im sure.

I'm still not sure why Deadmau5 always pulls such a huge response out of these boards.

a bit extreme by deadmau5, but marcus crossed the line with his deadrat6 releases.

maybe he deserves it.

How do you figure?

Posted by nefardec on Apr-06-2008 21:09:

i just think it's amusing how someone who can wear an all-red suit with huge goofy stuffed head and make trite big room dance music can take himself so seriously.

seriously, though.

oh! the trials of brand integrity!

Posted by MichaelBoogerd! on Apr-06-2008 21:16:

WTF were either management group thinking, didn't they check who exactly would be appearing on the lineup in either case?

Sure the promoter should've known better, but hey, shouldn't the artists or their teams have seen this one coming, and avoided playing on the same night.

Instead the whole internet community will get the great chance to laugh at both of them, try to defend themselves and what has now occured.

Clearly the Mau5 is not over the D6 thing. Clearly schossow is gonna be equally hacked off to go to the trouble of ridiculing Mau5 in his official statement that he promised. Will it ever end?

Quote from t.nu.

quote:
Hi all!
This has been one hillarious reading but I think that someone supports the promoter also.

For starters Under The Sun saved the Norwegian ravescene, for me and my friends atleast. Their parties are popular and they are doing things that we only can get if we go to Ibiza. I know for a fact that many djs love to play at their parties and the main boss "Mihkku" does a great job keeping it that way.
I know that this party has taken a toll on him since he had a lot of problems in the last week with him having an accident on a job that sent him straight to a hospital for several days and specially about the stress this has caused him.

I spoke with him some hours ago and he said that Under the sun is backing off since they don't want to be involved in a dj dispute.
He refused to give up the reason to me but made it clearly that Under the sun will not speak on behalf of the artists.
One thing he did say on msn that made me curious, translated into english.
"When we booked Schossow we did it because Schossow has an enormous popularity just as Deadmau5. So it was only logical that two of 2007s biggest upcoming djs played together, but we didn't know about Deadrat6 before it was to late."
What did he mean by to late?
Since Under the sun is not giving out any information then only a statement from Schossow or Deadmau5 will clear up things. But then again they could both be telling lies so only Under the sun can tell what's really happened. So I'm affraid that the statement from either artists will be a litte from the truth.

I think that Under the sun made a smart thing, they moved Marcus since most of the people where coming to see Deadmau5. If he had let Marcus play it would have damaged their name here in Norway. They also promised a new date for Marcus so they did everything by the book.

The night was packed and I want to see Deadmau5 again, he was simply amazing and I hope that Under the sun can find a new date for Marcus.

After reading the statement on underthesun.no you can see that they don't want to be involved, but I think that they should has just written the whole story so that every dj out there know that this is something you just don't do!

My first post on trance.nu also, but I think that this was the right moment to register.
-Thomas-

very true, very true

"The under Sun" can't know everything that is happening between artists, and that the managements have the final words.

i like both their productions, but my gawd

schossow is a fecking tool
he started it, he should hack the consequences..im pretty sure if many of u produced, and got some other dj disrespecting your success, im sure ud be a lil pissed too...so fuck off with all this animosity towards deadmau5...ffs

I've gotten into my little disputes with other members on this board but whenever I've met them, I never took things personal.

What kinda childish crap would that be? Taking something that was on the internet into real life. I think we all need to remember their jobs are pretty simple.

Play some fuking tunes, bang it out, and ride out.

I don't know what this has to do with D6 productions or a Fatssow myspace.

Just stop your bitching and play for the crowd that came out to see the both of you.

i think its funny how such a little bit of humor has gone this far, no one has taken deadrat seriously, everyone knows its a pisstake...

seems like Deadmau5 needs to find his sense of humor again
