That's what makes it even worse.

What an incredibly boring, anti-climactic game.

One of the finest massacres I've ever witnessed in all of professional sport.

Though the theme of this whole series may as well have been "Predictable Sports Cliche Movie #3203920452" - it was certainly better satire than the South Park episode that tried to do the same thing.

Still, even though it played out just like pretty much everyone said it would, I couldn't help but enjoy watching the game tonight. That series of possessions where Allen hit three three's in a row was so fire.

Posted by weymouth on Jun-18-2008 05:01:

I just wish that the amount of fouling that happened wouldn't have happened. Especially in game 5, the amount of fouling was on the verge of being football.

I hope to see games being called tighter next year right from the start of the season. I also would love to see flops suspendable(pretty sure they are gonna do this). Granted I personally hate to see zone defense in the NBA but I don't think it's gonna change back any time soon. Overall I miss the game being about finesse.

This is so great. Now I don't have to see douchebags driving around with Laker flags on their cars all summer.

Goodness... This was a more complete demolishing of a team than what Boston did to Atlanta way back in the Round 1 closer.

Great way for Celtics to win. Everyone who played got to score. Heck, the only player on the whole team that didn't score was Cassell, and I think he figured it was better for Rondo and House to enjoy playing out since he's already won two rings. Would have been nice to see him play though.

And Pierce... Hell of a Finals. His Game 4 performance pretty much sealed his MVP (unless Kobe somehow carried LA through two games in Boston... *snicker*) but solid for so many games throughout the Playoffs, including against Lebron in that Game 7 in the second round. Well deserved and well earned Ring. All of them.

Nice win!
What a gap to lose by, though. I hope they watch that game and sulk their heads.
