That was in the past. We got over it at the last EC. Plus Van Der Sar got better at stopping them. I'm not saying we would've kicked ass with it, but because the Russians had many good chances, that if we would've been able to keep the score equal, we had a better chance at winning.

It's 1-1. I leave for a sec to go get some wings, and the score is 3-1.

fair enough. but if we're keeping "fair" in play - I don't think Holland even deserved their equalizer. Russia was the better team all the way.

I agree. But then again, doesn't it often happen that the team that played better lost? It's part of the game. It might be the thing that makes football so sensational.

i must say this was one of the better games i've seen in a LOOOOONG time. I only wish this was the final. both teams played such beatiful football.

a great day for russia nevertheless. about time the biggest country in "europe" (there is some asia involved in it) played up to their potential.

Russia simply ran circles around and outplayed the dutch. This easily could have been 6-1 in regulation.

It was the best Team performance I've ever seen in my life.

Guus finally put us to the right road of playing football.

Gotta admit, Hiddink is magic, what he did with Holland, South Korea, PSV, Australia and now Russia

The Netherlands were completely useless in the first half, finally stepped it up in the end, but obviously it was too late by then. Great playing by the Russians, I haven't been paying much attention to them in the group stages and I really regret that

Awesome game today. Only downside is that I recorded this to watch later and it cut off at about 115 mins lol

Russia was just AWESOME !!!! Finaly they bring what I've expected from them ... even more than I could ever have expected. A well deserved win against a weak Holland. I thought especially Arshavin and Pavlutchenko played a great match

I hope they can repeat this performance in their next match(es)
