There were times where I'd have killed for a free Tiesto concert...

Nowadays I just don't care. Not even for the free booze. I mean, free booze sounds cool, but the masses of sweating teenagers and this horrible cramp-happiness I'd have to endure for it would not make me up for it.

Maybe I'd go if there was nothing better to do ... before I sit at home I go there. But there's almost always something better to do...

What I dont understand is the amount of spite for 99% of the big name DJs out right now. It amazes me how parallel EDM is to Hip-Hop. Was Tiesto better back when its a resounding yes. But has he not done what any DJ would do and thats evolve with the crowds that come to see him? Yes he could do what older EDM heads want and revert but he would alienate so many of the people that listen to him for his newer style.

I guess im just failing to see how Tiesto or AvB (or any other big name DJ for that fact) have become the cancer of EDM when its very clear they bring so many people into EDM and to be honest any DJ that actually plays out would take their spot in a second if given the chance. Not one person here that plays out can tell me they wouldnt mind packing clubs worldwide, with a radio show broadcast around the world.

Hip-Hop does the same thing. The big acts all suck. Everything is commerical. We dont want new listeners because their only listening to the Pop shit their putting out now...

So to answer the question. Id go for free, id pay to go see him perform. Why would I miss a chance to watch what is the most well known DJ in the world perform? Now can someone explain the general pissing and moaning besides "they keep introducing the same generic shit"

i can honestly say i wouldn't like it to the extent they have it. i could cope with being well known, sure, but not to the point of being 'superstar' status. not all personalities are suited to excessive fame

i'd kill for the chance to play the closing set after tiesto or armin, but not in place of them

I would go, you might as well if everything is free. Anyway, it's more the music and atmosphere I care about.
