i dont think so.
he does not have to play canadian content because his live-to-air set starts at midnight. the canadian content rule only applies before midnight. z103 does not tell him what to play either. manzone+strong and mark's sets have always been pretty chill before 2-3am. after that it is rocking. i guess it has to do with the whole "drinking crowd".

I've heard some rockin' sets from Mark Oliver during all access events (koolhaus, w00t w00t), but otherwise, he's always been that guy way up in the over-lord like DJ booth (prior to the reno) that I didn't get much of a connection with. That being said, feedback has always been very positive about his skills, commitment and contributions to the scene over many years.

I will say this--I definitely can't wait to hear a man of his experience and talent rockin' BASEMENT on Labour Day!! I'll make my true opinion of him then. Can't wait to hear him in that environment.

very true. i see it happen all the time. many bedroom djs have that issue. they think that if they play the big tunes early, they'll get booked as a headliner later on.... or they don't care because there aren't as many people @ the club. stupid imo.
