Leon, along with the first two Godfather movies and Snatch is up there as my favorite film ever. And I have to disagree with you on the Natalie Portman acting here, which is really amazing. Specially the scenes that ended up being cut from the US version of the movie. Perhaps you need to rewatch?

I think Myra and I actually own the full international version.

Oh, great then! It sure adds a whole different feel to the film, huh?

I think it's actually the only version I've ever seen. I didn't see the Professional until just a few years ago.

oh man there are so many... in no particular order

Brandon Frasier
Tobey Maguire
Kevin Costner
Eddie Murphy minus his 80s and early-to-mid 90s movies
Hayden Christensen
Scott Speedman
Katee Sackhoff
Jamie Kennedy
and after watching Redbelt, definitely Alice Braga.

thats good enough for now

Its never inappropriate to mention how fucking awesome jean Reno is. In fact, people should mention his awesomeness more often!

Or "The Island." Leo is so fucking far from being "the worst actor", especially in a world filled with Keanu Reaves, Matthew Brodericks, Keifer Sutherlands, Colin Ferrells, etc etc etc.

Edit: How could I forget Hayden Christiansen or w/e. Jumper was so trash. That bitch that played the lead female role with him is pretty terrible as well.

Bruce Willis is another. Johnny Depp is pretty fucking annoying but I guess one good role and a plethora of movies is enough for him to be considered "great"

To be honest I don't remember any of the others. Just like PoTC and LoTR, I usually stay (far far) away from watching the typical OMG THERES ANOTHER SEQUEL fantasy movies

any actor will look crappy when theyre reciting cheesy lines

lololol

no noooooooooo

Anakin is the epitome of batshit the entire movie, whining about Padme and never telling her the truth. He also whines that he can't be part of the council when he obviously is too retarded to be a part of it. Then he goes off and hooks up with some dark guy that ends up killing SAMUEL L JACKSON?! I mean c'mon, Sam Jackson can't die.

Then he does more whining on the lava planet about how shitty his life was to him, while Obi Wan is looking at him going "Dude, you're just retarded. Listen to me so you can fix it yourself." Then he screams as lava encases him, which I find so hilarious every single time I've watched the movie.

Hmmm, maybe I DO like this movie?

hayden is a bad actor for sure, but the star wars prequels had some of the worst screenplays ever written. No one could make it good.

they fucked up when they commited to him playing the role in all 3 movies.

The Anakin in the first movie is what Hayden acts like.

Absolutely agree, though I do think that if they had kept a loose version of the story but actually had talented writers manage to filter out all the shit, they could have been decent.

RJT loves Lon, V For Vendetta, and Garden State. so i guess Natalie Portman isn't that bad.

Posted by Thierry on Aug-25-2008 18:20:

Brendan Fraser easily

Posted by david.michael on Aug-25-2008 18:30:

So much mention of Nicolas Cage in here... blah. His role in Matchstick Men was cool.

Her acting in all of those (save for maybe V - even that is borderline) is horrible (something I've said more than one time on here lately as it seems to be a recurring theme in c0r).

I like plenty of movies with bad actors/acting in them - that doesn't mean I still don't think they're horrible actors.

i was teasing you.

i think we should just run a script in the database of movies to have every Natalie Portman role replaced by Mandy Moore.

after i hooked up my home theater last night i decided to rearrange my DVDs so that my favorites were grouped together at the top. my Mandy Moore collection is right underneath my "movies based on books by Bret Easton Ellis" collection... how fucked is that.

He should write a book about Mandy Moore.

A cracked out Mandy Moore with "daddy" issues. Or perhaps just a sequel to American Psycho, with Mandy as the lead.
