I currently work for free (part-time) at a biochem lab on campus trying to express and characterize a topoisomerase (DNA gyrase) from plasmodium vivax (one of the parasites that causes malaria). Since this is my first ever working in a real lab, I'm not being paid (me learn good), but hopefully next semester I can find something paid.

I'm part owner of an environmental engineering firm that does building investigations for chemical and biological contamination, and then write protocol for proper removal (building owners and managers are personally responsible for the health/safety of their occupants, and we make sure they are keeping up with the standard of care so they don't get sued)... offices in Charlotte, central FL, and Hilton Head, SC. I'm also a partner in an overseas joint-venture that does something kind of similar, but on a larger scale... too long to get into.

I just finished reading a 40 page building contamination report on asbestos, mastic and the like. I nearly fell asleep reading it, I can't imagine having compiling it.
