exaaaaaactly!

A lot of things in the club scene turn mee off now. However, yet I find that I don't feel the same way about outdoor parties... Weird...

How many of you feel the same way of the club scene, but still in love with the music.

What kind of things turn you off from the club scene?

I've been feeling the same sentiments since the beginning of the year I'd say; hence my general absence from the clubs and focus on my own productions.

What ruins it for me is when over half the crowd at a party consists of 19-20 year olds getting bombed and rubbing up against eachother.

I'm totally into low-key parties at smaller venues. I love the local scene in Hamilton and going out to see my friends DJ is where it's at for me right now.

Having said that... Chris Lake at Circa was the best party of the year for me - despite that douche Perez Hilton who attracted all kinds of losers to the club and made a 60 second appearance babbling some nonsense about getting laid tonight.

Just choose wisely - don't go to an event just because everyone else seems to be going. If you love the DJ then no question.

Also... maybe try to find other ways to enjoy your weekend ????

a)Club Sluts
b)Roidheads
c)Dj Hoes

Remove the above and I'll start going out again.

When I was about 24 I stopped clubbing for almost three years and one day I just got the urge to go out again. That lasted for about two years and then I stopped again for a year. Then when I was 30 the bug hit me again and now I am tired of it again.

I hear ya on the maturing thing and am astounding by all the breaks you have taken and have still managed to come back all those times.

However, there is definitely an abundance of flak for Toronto's (and even mtl's) scene still included in this thread

you forgot to add more breaks at clubs

It's probably a sign that you've gone out too much, and done too many things!!!

Stay home, relax, get a girlfriend.

Why so much complaining? We have had so many talents come here...we've been so lucky!!! Also, it sucks that you can't create your own fun........pick your parties properly and Guv is not the only answer...

Not everyone at clubs get the same treatment as DJ whores...

You bring up a very solid point. I suppose I could stomach clubsluts if there was breaks playing.

And no Justin, clubsluts are not the same as DJ hoes. Although most clubsluts are DJ hoes, DJ hoes are not neccessarily clubsluts.

You're absolutly right. Most people don't have a cock being shoved down their throat under a table, while the owner of said cock spins records.

In that order? I don't know about the rest of the folks here, but I haven't seen a lot of babes going door to door around my complex soliciting boyfriends. You'd probably have to do something other than stay home and relax in order to accomplish that last step.

Besides, nowhere was it stated or implied that the OP was lonely or bored in general. Just sick of nightclubs.

Honestly, no offense to the other girls on this forum, but only a chick could come up with advice so unbelievably retarded and unwarranted.

there is potential

Sorry for misunderstanding then... Well, I think this scene won't get any better, not that I am pessimist just my observation of ongoing and growing consumerist culture.

There is only one truth but so many ways to reach it... So, you will find the way in which you will enjoy your every moment.. Sometimes, it is good to go out with friends and listen music from Ipod docks and enjoy the time.... Btw, DJ Tarkan is fucking pretty good, too....

Yep. The only time I stayed out late recently (daylight outside) was Diggers at Guv and that was ONLY because I went with friends last minute and it just happened. I rarely do that regularly throughout the year...tired enough at 4am, nevermind staying until 6/7am. Screw that.

4am? I'm just getting my second wind at that point!

You are old Chris
