Yeah, Shaq's been shooting well from the line recently.

And the MVP so far is Lebron. It's his to lose at this point.

to think Mark Price and Hornacek were great free-throw shooters all this time

-Based on stats only *wade has him in points and assist but not rebounds due to the size factor of 4 inches.
-Based on teams Cleav(1st), Heat(5th) and they have 1-1 record between each other so thats a tie
-40+ pt games (*wade 5, Lebron 3)
-who would you want with 5 seconds left down by two (Lebron: "crab dribble" travel) or d-wade(48.0 FG%)

Oh trust me, I would never vote against Wade. I'm from Miami, son! And he was my 1st round pick in all of my fantasy leagues. But the Cavs have the 2nd best record in the league right now, and Lebron is the reason why. In my opinion, Lebron is the single most valuable player to his team, with Wade, CP3, and Kobe all being a close second.

And I want the ball in either D-Wade's or Kobe's hands at the end of the game.

If it was up to me I would want MJ to have it but we can have it all. Saying Cavs are 1st due to lebron is saying the heat are 5th because of wade. These teams w/o those type of leaders would be bound for lower rankings.

I guess a good question is let's say I have the best stats in the league but on a team with the worst record(i.e wizards hehe only kidding I mean memphis,oak).. would I get the MVP? This primarily is never the case of a sick player on a crap team but if that is so I guess Lebron would get it based primarily on team records.

Lebron: 1st place team
Wade: slightly better stats but 5th place team

One more thing: I guess MVP could be who is the best at their position in the leage(Center, foward, guard..) but has the stats on top of that and strong team. I think that might be a factor as well.
If Chris paul is #1 at point but his stats overall are over wade, lebron with his hornets high ranks he could win but I think he does not have the overall stats as lebron and wade

My NBA notes for this week.

1. I was angry that my man nelson got hurt but realized this happens all the time. Then I see tonight his replacement Johnson scored 25!...against the clippers

2. Kobe(61 pts)socring only, Lebron(52 pts) cheap triple double with that final reb with 2 secs left, Piece, Allen & Garnett(10000 pts)
You think when D'antoni coached these guys in the Oylmpics he knew some of their tricks to stopping them.

Damn my underdog Minnesota is back at its losing ways!
Gotta catch the Suns!!!!

Posted by bananas on Feb-08-2009 01:29:

Yay for Lakers beatinc C's (really didn't think they would do it, but they did), Cavs are the next victim.

Kobe for MVP!

p.s. Bynum

1. Uh ohh Stephon is back!!With a lifetime avg of almost 20 pts/8 ast the Celtics do it again with a great aquistion. I won't say anything else until they make it to the finals. This year there is def more competition in the East.

2. Pistons won without Iverson tonight!

3. Lakers lost boo freakin hoo but too a decent Denver team they might see in the playoffs.

4. President rooted for the Bulls and well got his Hometown team handed by his new hometown!Wonder if the he would of gone if they were still called the Washington Bullets I miss Manute Bol!!

Shaq had 45 Someone decided not to double team him in four years.

Will Knicks make it to D'antoni goal of 40W with Playoffs? I say hell freakin no. They got names but still the chemistry is not working quite yet due to mass changes since the season begain. I am sure if your go to guy is playing for the heart of Will Ferrell there might be a problem.

Wade for MVP

He has taken it from Lebron imo.

Posted by Trancealot on Mar-10-2009 15:16:

Which place would you retire, Miami or Phoenix? It is sad Shaq leave because his team was falling without Wade before. Since the Olympics this is Wade part 2. Part 1 won a championship already.

Posted by Renzo on Mar-10-2009 21:41:

Yeah man. Wade has been ridiculous as of late.

Posted by Renzo on Mar-10-2009 21:51:

I wonder what happened with Shaq and Wade, 'cause there is some bad blood there. They were inseparable in Miami.

my theory without research(side player syndrome)

Orlando: Shaq/Anfernee(0)
LA: Shaq/ Kobe(3)
Maimi: Shaq/ Wade(1)
Pheonix: Shaq, Nash(0)

Conclusion is he puts his trust in great side players but not knowing the team around him as well. Plus imagine if he was still with Miami this second. Forget the Cavs!!! Celtics/ Miami battle would of been nice.

Posted by Renzo on Mar-11-2009 03:42:

You can't ask to play with much better guards than those four right there.

The Suns are the only team he hasn't reached the NBA Finals with.

Posted by Trancealot on Mar-15-2009 09:38:

I thought Utah was good until they played The Miami Wade(50P, 10R, 9A)
Right before he went to bed tonight I bet he said to himself "lebron is happy I did not get that assist"

Heat(140) Jazz(129) Triple OT!

The heat have a socttie pippen(Jemaine) but still need a better supporting cast and then it is game on the East. For now its losing to Celts, Cav, or even Orlando in 4 games series.

hehehehe...waiting eagerly for the playoffs.

gotta agree with the latest posters regarding Wade for MVP. Eastern playoffs are more interesting this year. I want to see Hawks go far.

Mavs have it but refer to the finals against the heat. The love to fall apart as well.

If ben gordon was MJ instead of trying to play like him they would beat the celtics

Blazers have nothing to lose but my main man Aldeman needs this 2nd round advance to save his coaching status as one of the greats without a Championship.

Posted by Renzo on Apr-29-2009 21:31:

Bulls-Celtics series is beyond ridiculous.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Apr-30-2009 14:25:

we all know the biggest trade of the year this year was the bulls-kings trade, with john salmons and brad miller going to the bulls and andres noicini, drew gooden, cedric simmons, and michael ruffin going to the kings. salmons and miller give the bulls solid defense and an edge they didn't have before the trade.

before the series started, i saw the bulls winning this in 7, but now, i think the celtics will close this out tonight. they just have that extra umph over the bulls right now.

Salmons and Miller are ok, but how is that a bigger trade than Billups going to Denver and transforming them from a pack of underachievers to a legitimate contender?

that was the stupidest trade of the year. Team leader for a team junkie. Hahaha. Pistons wanted to mix it up but did not realize Iverson is old and not a team leader. I miss him scoring 30+ while shooting 8/32 or worse He took Sixers to the championship in 2001 but when he was much younger.

He is like Elton Brand. Gets hurt and your team players better.

As for the nuggets. First time out of the first round in quite sometime. Billups is def a true team leader for any team.

Notes:
Can't wait to see Artest get schooled by Kobe(Black mumba which Charles Barkey Calls him ??) a couple of times in this upcoming series

Bulls and Celtcis!! Sad thing is Boston has never and I mean never lost a game 7 series in their entire team life so I think its Celtics unless they play like shit and bulls keep the overtime momentum.
