Hey, thanks for the replies. So looks like it's not worth it then. $400 is kinda steep for Ultra alone, especially when there are so many other events happening during WMC.
So any word if Ultra moved ?

Instead of spending the money on VIP it's always better to spend that money on the other events going on that week and see your fav djs
I bought vip for Ultra 07 the worst choice I
ever made !
Fuck every year it gets more expensive. I hate those damn fees you have to pay for Ultra tix.
I made a decsion on Miami it looks like I can't
make it this yr
The Economy suck and I can't
afford hotel, air fare and Tickets for the shows .
This kills me really bad I blame Bush and the
Economy
Fuck Bush and the Economy

Yes I'm guessing WMC attendance will be very low this year... DJ's included. But I still think we'll still see a lot of non-Americans flying in because the dollar is still fairly cheap. A few club owners who use WMC to break even are in for a world of hurt this year. Then again, everyone is hurting this year.
Just my theory anyway.

hi people,
i don't think i'm making the trip back to the US for WMC this year (but you never know) BUT i'll be in so-florida from this friday til the end of the year visiting my parents so if anyone wants to go out let me know
and I think i'm having a pre-party in my hotel suite in south beach this saturday night so PM me if you are interested in coming
Suite party oi oi oi
Thank you all for the words of wisdom on the vip tickets.I'm defiantly going regular, and I'll save the money and spend it on party favors!!! Woo
I sit and ask myself the same questions some of you ask yourself about finances.
I am not broke by any means, but is it worth it to you know...spend this sort of money on a trip. I look at some of the costs and they astonish me. To pay $100 to see Tiesto for example.
I am not going to just be "nickle and dimed" the entire time, but clubs will have outlandish fees, and instead of nickle and dimes its 50 dollars here, $100 there, and I am not even drinking yet.
Then I think well lets say I take mushrooms or acid at WMC...everyday. How much would I enjoy standing in a venue like this

or this
http://www.mightyleg.com/crowd.JPG
I want to get a "Sensation" like experience with total mind blowing visuals.
And it looks like I have to visit some clubs down there to get that, and the costs...well they scare off a potential WMC patron or two.
I look at how cheap it is to just go to Chicago (3 hour drive) and see top notch talent for well...sort of cheap. But you do get lots of quality and quantity here at WMC.
But am I going to be paying more then $30 to see big acts? Armin, Deadmau5, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, and the alike?
Standing in a field just doesn't work for me and dance music, besides the fact I get maybe 3 feet of personal space to dance like a retard.
average price of a good party is $25. Last year Deadmau5 was $10... lots of free parties as well.

| Originally posted by Ronald Ravin' if you need to see big acts yea you're going to pay more than $30. something like armin or pvd in a club is gonna run at least $60 to over $100. but by no means are all of the good parties expensive. some of the best WMC parties to me have been the cheap ones that aren't hyped but just have a totally chill atmosphere with some DJ you wouldn't ordinarily see. I agree with that, I wouldn't bother with ultra at all that's not my idea of fun. |
dont forget $20 armin at pawnshop tix
That's true, if you watch like a hawk and buy one of the first tickets, you can potentially get better deals. I am only speaking for the procrastinators who don't even know if they're going to WMC until March and are still buying tickets the night before they fly out :P
