I have thought of getting rid of mine.

I voluntarily put my work email to my phone. It has helped me at times when I absolutely had to email back and forth, but I make sure I'm not tied to the hip with work email. It's all about self control

That was me, I fully understand. I still don't answer mine half the time, nor know where it is. I don't text as it takes 15 minutes per sentence.

i just went into a Verizon store to try the blackberry storm. If you thought it's annoying to type on an IPhone, it's has nothing on the Storm. You do feel a tactile response when you do press on the "button" key, but it feels nowhere close to pressing down on a button. As a result, you have to press down on every button when you want to type and it can get very annoying fast.

If you constantly need to email, I would stay away from the storm and stick to a regular smartphone with buttons.

I thought the same way, but you actually get used to it. There are sooooo many shortcuts that it actually makes it alot easier. Easier is the keyword, it is not perfect. I do agree, if you are business person, the storm is not for you. Its really for consumers.

Once the software issues finally get fixed hopefully it will be alot better. rumor has it that all the phones had to be downgraded to xxx.65 from xxx.82. That is why they were hard to get. For a big of promotion that they did, they really screwed the pooch on this one.
