-- OLD Oakenfold tune NEVER IDed...

I have an idea (probably not a good one):

on the discogs entry for "The Source - Fly Away" the other side of the vinyl just says 'untitled'. is it possible that this untitled B-side is the un-IDed track from the China 99 EM? just a thought

Posted by ReclusNdangrmnt on Dec-24-2008 02:08:

Doubt it, unless Oakenfold coked out his memory to the point where he could not remember making that track.

LOL dude I reckon it's possible, after all he worked with other guys too, maybe he didn't have such input into that untitled tune, worth a shot at least.

I for one can vouch for saying that I can't remember tunes that I have made a few years back.

Who knows, it was a good idea none the less...

No, if it did you'd notice a slight cooling in hell, and party banners all over MD.

Does anyone know about this posters signature or link?

I was going to talk with Paul about the track and even go through his old vinyl if need be. See if we can track down the tune, but now i lost the sample/link.

Help?

Why are you wanting to do this?

Posted by XaNaX on Dec-31-2008 13:16:

looking for that track would be like looking for a needle in a fucking haystack, this thread made me listen to Rojam again though. TasteXperience - Highlander has got to be one of the all time best opening tracks for a trance set

Posted by Knowland on Jan-02-2009 09:02:

That song that keeps saying Paradise is my favorite Rojam tune. Please Identify this missing track for all of trance depends on it!

Posted by tortoise on Jan-02-2009 09:36:

^^^

Vengaboys - Paradise...

From what I recall reading, it seems Oakenfold himself wasn't much help in tracking this one down.

I really don't see the point id:ing this track? It will never happen, and really did oakie really plan which records he was going to play in his set? It's rather pointless asking Oakie himself.

He couldn't care less.

Bump for the eternal hope that the OP sees this.

Yea, that has been in discussion for well over a year now. We will eventually be getting some of the back catalog out, some as soon as next year.

The problem for the immediate future is that much of the past catalog is tied up with the other labels. If you will remember, Perfecto was always partnered up with other labels, mainly Warner back in the trance hay-days. So many of the rights are tied up with them. We are working on it and figuring out what and when we can move on most of the back catalog.

Sorry about the bump.

I just realised that this may include the Original Mix of Am I On Pause. Please let this happen. Although, while I would prefer the vinyl version, I don't think I'll ever find a copy.
