Honestly, that is exactly what my music sounds like right now. :]

I have checked it out, but there is so much stuff in there that its overwhelming. I'm still trying to make Ableton do what I want it to do.

Abelton isnt a program that takes a night or two to figure out.

It takes a while to get into it because its does SOOOOOOO much. I mean even Fruity Loops takes a while to get used to and learn most things that it does...

I've already fooled around with some beats, though and have a nice base-sound I like, but I can't seem to separate other sonds into different spaces (so the sounds will come in at different times).

You have to move them to the different time frame in the playlist.

I mess around with Cubase and started out with Fruity Loops, i would recommend FL since you are just starting out. Its WAY more user friendly. You can stick with Abelton but you are going to have A LOT more fun nights like you are having right now LOL
